I am from India. Today in India there is lot of unrest and Violence prevailing around. You are never secured as there are many incidences of blasts are reported now a days from every nook and corner of the country. Markets, Malls and Cinema halls, together with Railway stations and Air ports are the most vulnerable places. So here we have security checking at the gates where the guards physicaly check you before entering the Cinema hall. I appreciate this and Co operate with these people, but some times it become quite an irritating experience as we come across some uneducated boors who are appointed as Security Guards by Private Security Agencies and they lack the basic mannerisms. To deal with such people is really a big head ache. have you ever faced any rude behavier by any such security Guard at Cinema hall gate? Please respond ! Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that the situation is becoming so alarming in your country. Luckily we are not up to such serious level yet. Our cinema do not have security checking. The cinema ticket checking staff are friendly but they are strict to the rules and regulation too. The cinema management does not allow food and beverage bought outside to be brought in. Once, I went to cinema with my friend and he was carrying a bottle of mineral water bought in a nearby stall. The cinema staff insisted to stop him bringing the bottle in. My friend was frustrated and thrashed it hatefully into the dustbin.

You are most welcome. It's fun to participate in Mylot discussion . Once people got used to such situation, they no longer feel that it's weird. Therefore, to me, it's strange and surprising to find security guards, doing thorough checking on the incoming audience. It's almost like the air port security check point . The terrorist attack is really scary, and it drives the cinema owner to bear most cost to hire security for better safety.

Thanks for the best response given, and I am elated about it. Hope the security alarm could be reduced in the future, less terrorism and more peace. It's not comfortable to be screened by security guards before entering the cinema. It makes me shivers by thinking of it.

One time, security confiscated a camera that I brought into the cinema. It's not a very techy camera so I won't be able to record the movie in it anyway. i tried explaining this to them but they have their orders so they took it for safekeeping. I was quite annoyed then but now I don't mind the security. Sometimes they confiscate food and drinks but most of the time they just leave me alone.
