what is your usual role whenever there's a birthday party in your house?

it was my little niece's, Sophie, first birthday last Friday and even though it was rainy, a lot of people still were able to come. there were a lot of kids and our house was a mess after the party!
anyway, my sister, Sophie's mother was busy taking care of the visitors and Sophie and my brother-in-law was busy taking videos. and as always, whenever there's a birthday party or any event here i our house, i was the one left in-charged of taking pictures. i don't take great pictures but i like taking them and i'm good in holding a camera so that's probably why they always leave the job to me. ^__^;; and i'm fine with that since i don't have to help in washing the dishes, serving the food or anything like that.

I bet you all had a good time even tho it was rainy. Well my role is picking things up, not washing dishes or anything like that, its putting the food up, and picking up all the wrapping paper thats been left on the floor, especially if its at Christmas time, it can get crazy around here..lol.

Well I just got home from hostessing a bridal shower for my neice....and I am usually in charge of the center piece..napkins etc. I make candles with a picture of the honored guest on them...do flower arranging and also stamp napkins and make cute little napkin rings of one sort or another.......so decoration....I am usually in charge of those.

Hello secret bear. I am also usually the one who takes photos for all if there is some party and whatever. I love to take photos as they can always offer us many wonderful memories later on. Good day.

Being the mom I'm in charge of the food & people usually :) My mother in law is the picture person, she takes so many you get to the point like "no...not another picture!!!" Sounds like it was a fun party, we don't have too many but when we do they are always a good time for everybody.

I am usually the cook, cake maker and in general party planner. But I actually enjoy doing it. I like finding yummy party recipes to make and even yummier cakes or desserts. I am usually the one decorating and getting it all put together.

as i am a mother and have a small son and my husband and me are the one who is going to decide everything and its our responsibility to lok after the guest, cook and clean and all. so i think all the arrangement work is done by my husband and the kitchen work i will do it and we both together do a cleaning work of house.
so together we have this work and about the pictures and videos we tell anyone of my friend or the relatives.
and morever it is not possible for us to do all things and we just do it in this way as i mentioned it. and really while in fuctions it is very difficult to manage all activities and hence distributing workload is a good way to do everything.

I am always the budget officer and the one responsible coordinating to all the task in the event.. When my daughter turn One year old in last year, it was a four months preparation, I was able to hire a clown to do a show of magic tricks and games, I was able to prepare a lot of freebies to all her guests and the food was very yummy as well.. it was a very tiring event but to see your daughter happy is the most important part. have a great day.

I am serving and washing dishes,,,I don't know or expert in cooking so sometimes, I will just assist Mom in slicing! lOL!
ANyway, I also love to take picture and in occasion like this, I will eat late! LOL![/i]

If its really some special event that requires family members to do things and help out, I'd probably just do anything they tell me to do. Buy materials, do errands, fix this and that. The last event that I had helped out from which includes that family was on the wedding of our eldest brother. During the main event, I really liked taking pictures with an analog camera but, sad to say, even though I was seeing things clearly on the view finder, the developed and processed shots were all blurry. Anyway, I spent my own money on the films anyway so the photos wasn't really that expected from me. I just wanted to try out taking pictures but, seems like I have to try more harder next time. (^_^")

My usual role is cooking, serving and even sometimes doing dishes. my husband is the one who takes pictures because he knows how to do exactly that. I always land the role of doing kitchen work, maybe becuase am the youngest of the ladies and I make nice meals. I enjoy cooking some meals.

Usually whenever there's a birthday party or any parties that held in our house, I always end up washing the dishes or serving the meals or any works in the kitchen. I don't know but it was always like that, only sometimes that they give me the camera or video, perhaps, I'm not good in photography or since I know cooking, they think that I am much better in the kitchen.

Of course I'm the magician. I usually don't perform for family, since we don't have too much visitors on birthdays of family members. In friend's parties though I usually do a lot of magic and even though it is just for friends, it is still good entertainment.

Finding out what flavor of birthday cake the person wants. Making the cake. Creating a frosting. Washing dishes. Making a dinner or if not, getting something to go with the cake. Sometimes I pick out the birthday card and sometimes my husband does. Sometimes I make or buy a present, sometimes my husband makes or buys a present. Lately one person creates a present and we both put our names on it. Seldom do I even remember a camera. Cleaning the house before everyone gets there is a serious bear of a job. Sometimes my husband helps a little with that. Thanks and take care. Oh and I usually sing the Happy Birthday song. Take care.

My role is cake maker and food sorter outer! I do not have parties for my children where we invite their school friends, we always do something as a family. we prefer to just have quiet birthdays!

whichever functions i attend that of my friends or relatives my usual role is to handle the camera. i usually try to skip from the work and at last i will be caught up by some or the other.. but i will be very happy when they say that the video or photos are good....

when there is a birthday party celebration at home, i usually the cook. I early prepared the food for the visitors to come. And every family has a part for that party

At different times different roles are given to me in any party.Before the start of party I am asked to bring different items for cooking food and decorating home from market.Then at the time of party my role is to play teh music and to arrange the songs according to the mood for dance.The role of taking pictures is done by my brother.Then at the time of dinner I do the catering work by managing the food items and serving them properly.After the party is over the final role is to clean up the house.
