My husband hates his new truck driving job so he is wanting to quit. Well he has been broke down for the last week , so no driving means no money , The money I did have in the bank I used and paid all of the bills, elec., water, gas, cable, and now I am worried that if he quits any time soon we will not have rent which is due in 3 weeks!! I am trying to sell whatever I can . I cannot drive so I cant do anything out of the home. I am just at a loss as to what to do. We just got our insurance cards and my husband told me to get everyone in to the drs , dentist, etc while we have insurance-- ok honey how am I going to do that with me not being able to drive??????So now I am worried about that.

Hopefully your husband will be mindful that it is his responsiblity to care for the family and not quit his job until he has another one. In today's economy I don't know that it is such a smart thing to quit a job even if you don't like it. Right now it is about survival moreso than likes or dislikes. I am not sure where you live and what your skill set is but if you are computer savvy there are often local contract type clerical jobs that work from home that you may be able to do. Sometimes there are also telemarketing type jobs that you can do from home. It seems that you need to find some ways to also be able to support your family, since its possible that your husband may be quitting his job.

Hm, this sounds similar. My mother is always arguing with my father about the same thing- he just can't stay on one job for too long because he quits it thinking it's not well-paid and that he'll eventually find another one. So he's most of the time unemployed. I think your husband should find another job before quitting this truck-driving thing. Try to say him that you know how he feels working this and you understand him completely, but unless he find another job, quitting this one will make things only worse. Hope this helps.
