new rockets ,new year

I like Yao sure, he's very dominant, however, I dont believe Artest is such a great player to actually help the team in a big way. I really hope they make it past the 1st round this year

i agree that the acquisition of ron artest helps the rockets a lot on both ends of the court. offensively, artest can post smaller men, extend the defense with hsi outside shots, and even take the ball hard to the basket. he can also serve as decoy and pass it off to the rocket cutters. defensively, he is one of the premier one on one defensive players in the league and i know he can hold his own against either bigger guys playing the forward position or smaller and faster guys playing the guard position. the rockets did go on that ridiculous win streak without yao ming last season and it goes to show that this team can win without one of their best players. i think if the rockets can stay healthy all throughout, they can go deep into the play-offs. i'm not so sure if the trio of yao ming, tmac, and artest can take the rockets to the finals this year but it sure is the best time for all three of them to make things happen as father time is slowly catching up with all three. just my thoughts. cheers!!!

I like Yao Ming because he represent the Chinese people. He's also very down to earth. But he's not that amazing of a player. I like Kobe Bryant and the Lakers better. I also like the SPurs hehe. I can't wait for Basketball season to start! For now, I'll just have to make do with NFL--it's pretty exciting already. :)
