have u noticed any changes in your neighbourhood, pubs, workplace etc after the recent economy changes? i noticed that there are much lesser people eating in restaurants and pubs were almost half empty near my place. they used to be packed even on weekdays and now i can get a table easily on weekend after i past by them earlier. looks like the message of recession is getting across thick and fast and people are already controling their spendings. spells trouble for businesses for the next 6 months and i expect to see more folding and rental being reduced to keep business going. what have u observed?

a lot has changed in my city here. people are hardly visible in shopping malls, cinema halls, etc. this number has reduced because of rising expenses. they hardly have money to fulfill their own necessities, so how can they think of spending something extra for elsewhere. the share markets & real estate business are going through a hard time due to the condition of my country. i hope everything goes well by the end of this year.

yes, already people in the banking and insuranc related industires are having their pay cuts or terminated because they cannot meet their sales targets. these are also one of the groups of people who earns well during good time and were able to spend big in entertainment, F & B, clothing boutiques etc. now with them facing this crisis, their spendings cut, it is likely to set off a chain reaction. plus those who are already learning and wising up to keep and save their money, the economy and businessess will suffer further setback

Oh yes, I have noticed changes in the spending manner of the people in my small city. There are still lots who are into eating out except me. When I go downtown, the fastfoods and other eateries are still having regular costumers. But the dry goods area like in clothing area, most are into window shopping and just looking around. Even store gimmicks cannot move the people to spend much.

i guess people still have to fill their stomach and this is one expenditures which cannot be tone down much. F & B is also an industry which may not suffer to much apart front fine dining and high end restaurants. fastfoods and middle end dining should still do ok in recession

The economy in my home country is in a bad shape. In my local high street many shops have stop trading and then closed. The first one was a travel agency and then a considerable number of estate agents. The cost of food is high and petrol is expensive. Household bills have gone up due to the rising cost of oil. People are trying to economize and not spend out on non essentials. On the television I watch a program called It Pays to Watch and on that I have found out a few banks have folded. Travel is my top hobby so I have been sad to see some airlines that I wanted to go on fold. The future doesn't look very bright at the moment with the worry of a recession appearing if it hasn't already arrived. I imagine people do self catering rather than eat out in order to save money.

Yes, I do noticed that too. It happens everyehere. Most of my friend are in the business world and they too complaining that their customer are slightly dropping in this few month. Everybody now are careful with their money. Everybody tend to stay at home during weekends.

everyone is holding tight to their money now. no excessive spending which likely mean that the economy will shrink further as there is no spending to excite the market. it is a vicious ccycle
