They walked past me! / myLot

I was out this morning and got some salad stuff and had another carrier bag filled with bits. Anyway all of a sudden the bag with the salad stuff in split, I was in the middle of a car park trying to get pick all my stuff up and at least 10 people just walked past me before some kind lady stopped and helped me pick my food up. I couldn't believe it as surely they could see I was having a few problems trying to pick the stuff up and putting it in the bag that was already full. I was shocked and slightly disappointed I guess, but it goes to show there are still kind people out there, the woman who helped even offered to o to her car to get me another carrier bag! So would you help or walk on by?

I'm glad someone helped you. I would have done the same thing if I see someone needing help. Whenever we go to walmart or any mall...I see some clothes on the ground and people would just pass by. I'd wish some would pick it up as I do the same

Thanks, yes I must admit generally I pick stuff up of the floor when people drop them, its just laziness when it comes to stuff like that which is terrible really, bet they wouldn't leave stuff laying on the floor in their homes!!! Thanks for the response

yeah i know what you're saying. it's different when clothes or anything are on the floor at home. they pick it up quickly. but if its seen in grocery...its like they dont see anything at all

people rarely help people anymore.it's sad,but it's the truth. i saw some guy slam a store door practically on a pregnant woman with a stroller a couple of months ago.i helped her-but i also let loose a string of expletives i can't print on mylot.

Yes you are right people don't seem to help anymore, which is very sad. Its nice to know you are one of the kind people out there, that poor woman, I would have said a few choice words as well if i'd been you. Thanks for your response

If i was there i would have definitely helped u....u should think what if i am found in such situation. I would surely help such person, so that the problem doesn't go serious and all the things are picked up soon...i can understand how u would be feeling at that time..!
