when do you stop the tooth fairy? when the kid doesn't believe anymore, or when all their baby teeth has fallen out? How long have you kept your children's baby teeth?? My oldest is going to be 11 next month, so you know he doesn't have many more baby teeth to lose, but he still believes in the tooth fairy. I still have almost all of my children's baby teeth. They hold a lot of memories.

I would say to stop when they stop believing in the tooth fairy. Or if they still believe when they are older and still have baby teeth, go ahead until the teeth have all come out. I don't remember how old my kids were, but I think about second grade they stopped believing in most of the childhood fantasies...maybe third grade. I kept all their teeth but over the years (I am grandma now) I have lost most, if not all, of them. The last I knew I still had a couple, but I am not sure which child they belonged to. I also had a note my daughter wrote to the tooth fairy when she was mad at me for something. She asked the tooth fairy in the note if she was real and if she was not real she wanted all her teeth back.

I think the children will believe as long as they have baby teeth. Afterall, they are getting compensation for those teeth, so I do not think many children will say they do not believe anymore, because that could jeopardize their little gifts they find under their pillows.
