Do you know the difference between http and https?

I did not a few days ago. My aunt emailed me a forwarded message about this. It basically says that https is a secured site unlike http. So whenever you do any online transaction which you feel should be secured, you should check that the URL is an https. I guess it's useful to share it with others as most of us ignore these kinds of security.
