What Do You Do When Awarded A Best Response?

I don't know, but if somebody would give a best response, I don't think it is right to thank them, why would you thank them it is not as if you asked them to mark as a best response, you made a response and give the best you can give, maybe if you know in your heart that you just made rubbish response and yet the user still give you a mark of a best response that is the time you start saying thank you.

i always go back & thank them. i don't expect anyone to do anything.lol

Well you better not give me one then, because I was raised with manners and to acknowledge that someone felt my response was the best, I will thank them..On the other hand, knowing not everyone is like that, I do not except thanks, but I give them out anyways..

I will response his or her other discussions instead. It is so easy to say thanks anyway. But I think thanks is just one single word or something, which couldn't express my appreciation.

I don't expect users to thank me when I give out best response and i don't give thanks too. But there are user that give out thanks and I am not bother with it and I think once or twice I did say thank you when somebody mark me as a best response.

the first time i received the best response award, i was surprised. i didnt know that there's such thing here on myLot hehe. it made me think, "oh what did i say to that discussion?" now it's posted on my page coz it really made me smile =D what i did was go to the topic starter's profile. i left him a comment and say thank you. if i will be the one to give the best response award, im not expecting any from the awardee. but getting a warm thank u from them will make me happy too!

Hi mimico, I like participate the mylot activities here frequently. I believe here is the best site for every user here could do the posting here freely depending on his way or habit, as long as we don’t violate the mylot guidelines. So it depends totally on the receiver whether he like or dislike to say thank you to the poster after getting a best response. Anyway we won’t get any earning if we just send our gratitude to the poster, unless we add comment with further information at the same time. I would try my best to express my gratitude to the poster if my response is selected as the best one. I insist to do this even the poster never leave any comment on my response that he has marked it as the best one. posting and have a nice day.

same here, I feel so honored if my response has been chosen as one of the best response. I feel so happy, because of all the responses, they find mine better than others. I always get back to them to acknowledge them for choosing me. I think that's the right thing to do.

I always say thank you to everybody except for LoudnProud, who specifically asked that she NOT be thanks. But I don't expect a thank you. It's nice to get them though!

It's quite alright if you dont thank those who awarded you best, same as when its not your obligation or whatever to comment on all or any responses on your discussions. Guess its just a matter of preference and habit in my case.^_^

Sometimes I do give thanks to, but most of the time no. I don't think it is necessary to comment back. I think the best thing to reciprocate with the best respond is to give more response to the discussions the posters who awarded you the best respond. Have a great day...

I don't expect users to thank me when I award them best responses. But I do that too. It's like the nicest thing to do, to say thank you. To acknowledge that you appreciate the award. Have a nice day!

Hi! I often go back and make comments on the responses but I don't thank the user who awards me best response. It's included in the mylot guidelines that we shouldn't thank for being chosen the BR. I know I have read that somewhere there in the Do's and Dont's. One of my friend whom I had chosen the best response thank me but he used the private message feature. I think that's the right way to do it. Ciao!

When, I do received a Best Response or any of the MyLotter I always try to came back unto the discussion to let them feel that I do felt happy and warmed on receiving a Best Response on that particular discussion and it is the only way I knew on how great I am on receiving a good news to let them know that I was very happy.....

I sometimes say thank you or I put another comment for the owner to see. I also get curious which topic I got picked for best response and I reread my response. teehee!

Sometime I go back and say thank you sometime I don't. I always go back and read what I wrote. Even if I don't go back and say thank you. I hope the user know that I am truly grateful for the award and also happy that I could be helpful to them.

i think that it's normal that myLot users go back to the discussion board to say thank. certainly, they feel happy it. it will definitely go to their account if you mrk it as best response and of course an accomplishment, and i think that really matters most. i was once mark as best response for a particular discussion but i never go back to the discussion board o say thank.. i think i will do that the next time my response be mark as best response..

I'll go back and thank them when I have the time! But really, I don't expect people to thank me for best responses, because they earned it themselves :) I just thank them to show that i'm happy haha~

Well I'm new here and I just now found that I have already received a best response. So of course I thanked the nice lady that gave it to me. My mother raised me to be a gentleman and it seemed the right thing to do. I don't expect a response to my thank you. I suppose that I'll have to award best response too eh? If people thank me, great, but if they don't all I can say is that's ok, because they weren't raised by my mother.:)
