I do not think I can sleep without a pillow, and never tried it.
If I used more than one pillow will develop a neck ache which stings all day. What about you?

I use 2 pillows, the bottom one for height and the top one is rolled up to fill in the space where my neck hits the pillow so it is not crooked while sleeping. I hate it when I have to get new pillows and break them in because I can't sleep well during that time and my neck will hurt the next morning. This last time I broke in one new pillow at a time using the new one on the bottom with an older one I could roll up on top. That helped. I have found that as long as I can have a pillow under my neck that way I can sleep but generally if I have to sleep somewhere new and know ahead of time, I will take my own pillows with me.

it's hard to sleep without a pillow. i sleep with three pillows so i find it quite hard not to sleep with even one. pillows make me feel comfortable so i sleep with one for my head, one for my arms, and one for my legs.
