The picture is quite nice, and clear.. PLus, it's not easy to get a shot with the cat facing u in the face.. mOSt cats will tend to run away when they see something strange.. So just leave your picture as it is, for natural is the best form of beauty ^_^ And it's not always u get to take a picture like this ^_^

What a beautiful shot! You should definitely post it to your dA! Cat photos are some of the most popular photos on deviantart!

luntian grace a few more words would have made this discussion easier to answer at least for me, as I dont know what you mean by deviant art? anyway that is a great photograph, and you got the essence of that cat. she is speaking to us, a great picture no matter what deviantart is. keep up the good work.

I would never be so unkind as to say you photograph sucks, Luntian_Grace, but I don't think it is your best work, either. Cats are not easy subjects; their coats absorb light in ways that trick both the exposure meter and the rangefinder, which might be why this photo is not quite in focus where it counts. It is also probably because you used a large aperture, so the depth of field is pretty shallow (by which I mean that only a very narrow band is in focus - the ears are sharp, the eyes nearly sharp, and the whiskers are out of focus). It would have worked better if you made the eyes the point of focus (POF), because depth of field always extends 1/3 in fromt of the POF and 2/3 beyond, which would have got the whole face sharp. I think the composition lets the pocture down a bit, too. You have cut big bits of Migie out of the picture - the legs and tail, and emphasised the hips, which to my eye makes her look angular and awkward. Sorry to be critical... Migie is beautiful and it isn't a BAD picture, but I think it is worth trying again. Maybe my article on how to photograph cats would help you do better. You will see it at http://www.qassia.com/photographing-cats
