Who do Arsenal ned to sign to become contenders this season?

As an Aresenal fan it is comforting to see so many youngsters in the squad. But it also worries me that there is not enough experience to have a realistic crack at the premeir/champions league. The holding midfield role in particular worries me. Veira did it so well for years, and the big four all have a proper, internationally remowned midfielder to partner their attacking options.
So who do you think Wenger needs to sign for the 08 title?

all arsenal needs is a player for denilson place..denilson isn't yet the player to be 1st choice.. i would buy sporting's Joao Moutinho or Porto's Raul Meireles/lucho Gonzalez, excelente midlefielders with talent!

I don't think Arsenal would be needing any more player this season...the team is very young and is quite balanced. Although it doesn't have as many star players as teams like ManU, Chelsea or Liverpool have but the Arsenal players are no less in terms of skill and talent....although they lack a bit of experience. Signing of Silvestre should help the team in the experience zone though. Also the midfield is also very formidable with Walcott and Fabregas....the two upcoming players...I hope Fabregas would takeover the role of Veira soon enough.I believe Wenger has been able to form a excellent team which is second to none. Personally though I would like to see Owen,Torres or David Villa in the team's attack and if possible Beckham in the midfield...

arsenal need to find Defensive Midfield player as a backup to Denilson. Before this, they have Flamini and Gilberto Silva and Viera in that position. For the Attacking Midfielder they can count it on Fabregas and Rosicky(if he's not injured).
