Everyone probably understands that the news networks are often not fair and unbiased in their coverage of the candidates, but here is an account by Frank Ducey of how the true facts have been manipulated and misrepresented in one instance:
' CNN & Undecided Voters......."FAIR & UNBIASED"
After Tuesday's debate, I put on CNN just to see what they had to say, as
Their reporting is so "FAIR & UNBIASED".
If you want the truth about what happened please keep reading.
They put up a map to show the states and the electoral votes for each
Candidate.
They showed Obama had 274 votes and McCain with only 174.
They tried to tell America that The Presidency was all but won by Obama.
They then followed it up with a poll that showed Obama had picked up most of the
Undecided voters watching this debate.
Before the debate CNN put together a panel of 25 undecided voters in Ohio
A Key state.
They kept on voting during the debate as to who they thought was winning
The debate,It ended about dead even. I thought the same, no clear winner.
They then went to the 25 voters they had hand picked and asked them the
Big question. Who would
They vote for, and 14 of the 25 said they would vote for Mc Cain. When
That happened they went back
To Anderson Cooper, who you could see was visibly shocked. He said well
They weren't voting that way during the debate and then went to commercial.
When they came back from the commercial they went to the panel of 8 to 10
Reporters which
Included James Carville, all totally "UNBIASED" people.
Not one of them commented on what just happened in Ohio with the 25 real
People they they had assembled. I found that totally amazing.
Instead they brought up their poll on undecided voters showing the results
Again, with Obama clearly
Winning the undecided voters.
The thing is we saw 25 flesh and blood people who CNN handpicked and when
14 of the 25
Chose McCain. They completely ignored what just happened and even refused
To go back to those people and ask them why.
Very "FAIR & UNBIASED"So all of you people who think the election is a foregone conclusion and
Think you will only
Be Wasting Your Time. Just remember that the Media is doing everything
They can do to
Control the outcome of this election, even if it means hiding the truth.
REMEMBER 14 OF 25 UNDECIDED VOTERS HANDPICKED BY CNN, CLEARLY CHOSE JOHN Mc CAIN.
Frank Ducey '
I am encouraged by these numbers especially since Ohio is deemed one of the most important states to win and CNN is showing Obama to have a significant advantage there at this point.
I also say CNN is not doing their job when they fail to report the truth by conveniently leaving out facts. What do you think?

The media feels that they are in the best position to pick the next president and will do all in their power to force us to do the same. Remember how shocked they were when Kerry lost after leading in the Exit polls in the morning. They tried to influence the vote. They also declared the polls closed in Florida 1 hour early (in the pan handle of Florida) and gave the state to VP Gore.
What is important to remember is not the new they report but what they DON'T REPORT. After the invasion of Iraq news was good then all they reported was the bad news, even though the troops returning were giving a different story (180 degrees different) of what was happening over there. There have been stories of how they rig polls, selecting random number and then adding in more Blacks to make sure they are included. Several years ago A Washington paper did a poll on the support for President Clinton during the impeachment. It was very strong in supporting him. Later we found out it was a pole of its readers.

The media has lots of ways to manipulate the news. I think most people know not to believe everything they hear on the news. Hopefully it won't influence how people will vote. In times past the vote has gone against the media's predictions.

I knew the Media wanted Obama when the election first started. I thought America was turning into Russia. the only station that talked about the Republicans was Fox. Now people who would not vote for Obama, will say "what is the use of us going to the Polls?" They will do all that they can to get Obama in, because he is going to further advance the homosexual lifestyle, as well as the pro-abortion faction. If he gets in, America will regret it.
And if the Media is prejudicial in what they report about the presidential candidates, what else should we trust in other matters?

I think it is more accurate to have faith in the goodness of most people than to place our trust in the media which does its best to present the most gruesome of stories because they are ratings grabbers. They try to have control over America's values and cause people to believe it is a terrible place and conservatives are all to blame, but I think decent, law-abiding citizens will ignore their ranting and do what they believe is right for our country.

Polls are very interesting. When President Clinton was facing impeachment one of the East Coast newspapers did a poll to find out the American feelings towards him. The results were that over 50% of the people felt he was being wrongly accused and should not be prosecuted, while only about 15% felt he was guilty and should be removed from office. What was not reported was the fact that they polled their readership and over 80% of them supported the President. how polls are reported also can be manipulated. You ask the question Do you support the President?
1. Strongly 15%
2. Some Support 25%
3. Neutral 20%
4. No Support 25%
5, Strongly do not support 15%
The media reports that 60% of the people do not support the President and they are right, while only 15% give him high marks.
Polls now days are being used to make the news.

I'm not surprised at all. This entire election has been run by the media. There are far too many ignorant people out there that will vote for who the media tells them they should and never bother to look beyond what they're told. Most people don't watch the entire debates, they just check to see who won. When CNN tells them Obama won, despite their own polled audience, people believe it and draw assumptions based on what CNN told them without doing actual research.

It's true the media tries in every way to influence who wins the election. I'm thankful that past elections have proven they've not been overly successful in their manipulations. Hopefully the election results will prove them wrong again.
