Do you know exactly who are these two people? you're quoting their words without knowing what exactly is the intention why they mentioned those words and how they are being affected by their cultural and social life that forces them think and speak the way they do. I just don't understand why you're challenging the word of God, the Bible by merely interpreting it literally considering the fact the you, yourself knew that the word of God as its own rules for and of interpretations and we called that Exegesis and it is an understanding of the historical and literary context of each book of the bible. Also Hermeneutics, that is the art and science of studying and interpreting ancient manuscripts including the Bible. I know you knew it. I won't blame you taurus54, Only by the Spirit of God you'll be able to Believe things pertaining to God, Jesus and THE BIBLE. Jesus was God according to John chapter 1. Jesus was THE WORD and WAS GOD. He took the form of Flesh for You and Me as The Lamb of God and sacrifice himself for our sins (John 1:29). JESUS was GOD manifest in the Flesh. Jesus also have said in the BIBLE, if you have seen me you have seen the FATHER. JESUS was GOD but came to this EARTH in the form of a HUMAN. You can't understand this if HOLY SPIRIT doesn't dwell in you. Read 1 John 2 : 22 - 23. Who is the Liar? It is the man who denies that JESUS is the CHRIST (Messiah @ Savior). Such a man is the anti-christ, he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father, whoever acknowledge the SON has the FATHER.
