On a recent visit to my doctor she was concerned that I might be able to use the services of a home care nurse. I actually had one to come for a visit this morning. She was very nice and we discussed everything that has been going on in my life that is contributing to my stress. I found her easy to talk to and she had me opening up to her in a way that I don't often do with complete strangers. At the end of the visit she told me that she could see I clearly had all of my ducks in a row and that the only thing I really need is time to complete the grieving process I have been going through due to the loss of both my mom and my sister just a few months apart. She gave me a big hug as she was leaving and told me to just give her a call if I decided in the future that I had need of a nurse. I had a good cry while she was here and I feel much better for having talked with her. I admit that I was somewhat frightened at the idea that I might actually need the services of a home care nurse. Have you ever dreaded the idea of something that you were facing only to find that your fears were unfounded after all?
