Hi mylotters... I know this is kind of random, but do you mylotters celebrate holidays, like christmas or thanksgiving or independence day or whatnot? I used to celebrate holidays back when I was in elementary school, but I don't celebrate them so much anymore. It's not that I don't care about those holidays, but since my entire family is busy with their own stuffs (except my sister-in-law, but busy with her online gaming :D) I find that I really don't celebrate holidays so much anymore =( (tears.. T_T)
Personally, I love holidays too. For some people, the holidays may be just like any other regular days with the regular routines, and unfortunately (for me), the holidays have become just like any other regular days with the regular routines. I really miss my old days of celebrating holidays with my family and relatives, but things are getting kind of odd, and my family does not really celebrate any holidays anymore :( I miss the old days of watching fireworks in the independence day (july 4 in america) and enjoying turkey in the thanksgiving day, sharing gifts and presents with my relatives in christmas.. celebrating the new years day with whatever we find it enjoyable to do... everything!!!
So do you mylotters celebrate holidays? Any response (no negative ones...) are appreciated, and thanks for sharing :)

Yup. Definitely. I definitely celebrate Christmas Day, Good Friday and Chinese New Year. These 2 are the most important festivals in the year for me. Christmas is a day to celebrate Jesus' birth and Good Friday is a day to commemorate what Jesus has done for us. As for Chinese New Year, I'm a Chinese and Chinese New Year (which lasts for 15 days, but we only get 2 days holiday in Singapore
) is a festival where Chinese gathers with family and friends. There are lots of food to eat and laughter to share.

haha that's great.. yes you get to gather around with your friends and family and eat a lot of good food and share some laughter... not me though T_T me and my family has been down for a while, so holidays for us has been pretty much like any other regular days, so we really didn't care about christmas, good friday, new year, independence day, and such... (tears) but when I get to live on my own, I guess I will start celebrating other holidays with my friends, because they are just unique to me compared to any other regular days, right? lol cheers :)

Owww . Holiday??????? it gives me very good feelings. In our country , there is holiday in everyweek. We definitely celebrate it, little or hugely. But our special holiday as Eid or durga puja or maghi purnima , all we celebrate with due religious and cultural fervor. Besides this new bangla year celebration, winter season celebration or season finishing monsoon../. We all celebrate this special hoiday. GOrgeous foods are cooked, new dressuped, some time mela are also happen. It is fantastic festive look through whole country. Its celebration.
