Acorn and registering 73 times.

Could someone tell me please how we can say this has been a fair election, when the news is showing that in Fla they found that almost 67,000 felons that are not allowed to vote and most in prison, has register to vote. How Ohio has over 10,000 fake registions now, and one guy saying that Acorn had him register 73 time telling him he was helping the voters. How are we to know how many of these votes that have been cast already are legit votes. There are 13 states that have been found to have illegal votes made in it. So how when who ever wins, do we know that it was done legal. This seems to me to be the biggest fraud election that I have ever seen. Fox news just reported thea Obama gave 800,000 dollars to Acorn, to register voters, now Acorn is in trouble with illegal votes. Does that make Obama involved in registration fraud. Someone please tell me what is going on here. I think all the votes should be thrown out and started over again. And only the ones that come to the voting booth and shows id can vote. Other than the ones that are overseas. Some way we have to find a way to have a legal election, not one that is involved in illegal voter registration. How now is FLA going to weed out these 67,000 that are illegal votes. This will be a close election, is it so important that Obama wins that he will pay for votes. I dont' see McCain paying someone to pick up homeless people and taking them to register and vote on the spot. Do these people have what it takes, a drivers license or a birth certificate on them. How many homeless people have either one. There is something very wrong here. What do you think?

Fake registrations are caught and nullified. They practically never lead to actual voter fraud. See my blog entry and the sources it cites for more information (which I actually updated just today with a new source): http://clarusvisum.blogspot.com/2008/10/so-what-this-acorn-thing-all-about.html Bottom line: registration fraud is not the same as voter fraud, and ACORN has been investigated SEVERAL times in the past (you don't think this is the FIRST time conservatives have lambasted ACORN's registration drives, do you?), and has never found to have been at fault for anything. They simply have to report all the registrations turned into them to election officials, even the ones they flag as fraudulent, and know are fake. That's the rule.

That's a load of crap and you know it. "Last year five Acorn employees were sent to prison in Washington State after they went into the Seattle public library and used records to create 1,800 fake registration documents." "Before the raid in Las Vegas, lawyers acting for the state authorities tracked down former Acorn workers. They found the group had employed 59 convicts from Nevada prisons who were supposed to be supervised and banned from using the phone or the internet." http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/US-officials-may-have-uncoverd-attempted-voter-fraud-less-than-a-month-before-US-Election/Article/200810215116398?lpos=World_News_First_World_News_Article_Teaser_Region_1&lid=ARTICLE_15116398_US_officials_may_have_uncoverd_attempted_voter_fraud_less_than_a_month_before_US_Election "Elsewhere, four ACORN canvassers in Kansas City, Mo., have pleaded guilty in federal court to felony voter-registration fraud." http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003808207_votefraud27m.html Should I provide more articles showing where ACORN was found guilty of voter registration fraud or can you admit that you lied?

The Wal-Mart CEO is responsible for shoplifting. Who is responsible for the employees? The people at the top of the chain. I am certain the cashier is not responsible for hiring managers or the security system.

Blaming ACORN for greedy employees who make up fake registrations to get more money (since ACORN pays its workers by the registration) is like blaming the Wal-Mart CEO for employees who shoplift. Until you learn this, you won't be capable of discussing the situation rationally. "Investigations that have not resulted in charges or are still pending have been conducted in St. Louis, Missouri in 2006;[31][32] Lake County, Indiana[33] and Cuyahoga County, Ohio[34][35] in 2008; in Michigan in 2008;[36] in Nevada in 2008;[37][38] in Missouri in 2008.[39] Investigations resulting in charges or convictions of ACORN voter-registration employees occurred in 2004 in Ohio;[40][41] in 2005 in Colorado;[42] in 2006 in Kansas City, Missouri;[43] in 2007 in Washington state.[44] In the Washington case, ACORN agreed to pay King County $25 000 for its investigative costs and acknowledged that the national organization could be subject to criminal prosecution if fraud occurs again. According to King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg, the misconduct was done "as an easy way to get paid [by ACORN], not as an attempt to influence the outcome of elections."[45][46] During investigations, ACORN has publicly supported the investigations of employees submitting fraudulent voter registration information, has fired them if evidence supports the charges, and has stated its concern with false information on registration forms.[47][48] Officials have stated that ACORN has been cooperative in these investigations.[36]" -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACORN#2004-present:_Voter_registration_drives (emphasis added) The numbered brackets refer to sources, which can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACORN#References

This wreaks of the mess the Democrats pulled eight years ago during the election between G.Bush and Al Gore. Gore was just a sore loser. I'm not saying he wouldn't have been a good President, but when you lose, you lose! They got down into Florida and riled up all those seniors telling them that their vote would be invalidated if they didn't make a fuss. And, still after all that mess, nothing was accomplished. Bush still won. And, four years later, where were all those people who hated him the first time around? Guess they voted for Bush. Not sure that relates to the Obama issue. But I can understand your frustration. How are we to know that the right person is in office.

If McCain loses I am sure they will check everything. That goes to show just how dumb it is to register felons to vote. It is just going to waste time and cost the taxpayer more money. As if the country isn't doing bad enough.

Well, for one thing, ACORN claims to be non-partisan, but acts like Democrats, so they are in effect, not nonpartisan at all. They appear to be registering people who would most likely be easily convinced to vote for Obama, ie. low income and low education, people who may easily take their word for it that Obama will make their lives easier, not considering the consequences or whether it is even possible what he is saying. (I don't mean that income and education=intelligence, just some people OK) This in not the only area where Obama has fraud going on, I already posted about his campaign finances, that he is likely getting a great deal of money from over seas, probably the middle east. Please people think of this before you vote!! The stocks are in bad shape now due to bad management and such. Obama wants to drastically raise the capital gains tax, that means that if elected, there will be a huge sell off, making stocks plummit more, so that those who have money invested can avoid way higher taxes. You really don't want this. Even if you don't have stocks, this will trickle down fast, just like the Great Depression.

It looks like Florida is on top of it if they've discovered 67,000 registered felons so far and I'm sure they'll continue to work hard to ensure that only eligible voters cast a vote...considering the state's already poor reputation. As for ACORN, their basic premise is a good one...to assist and encourage people to get out and vote...but their pay per registration turned in policy encourages abuse by temporary employees with nothing to lose. Barack Obama is not an administrator at ACORN and he is not involved in it's day to day operation so, no, I don't believe he's involved in voter registration fraud. I agree that voters should produce a photo ID in order to vote, which is the policy in my county in Florida, but I am also concerned about making that process accessible to everyone as well.
