Second life is just a virtual software that follows some rules from the real world.
There are challenges in real life, and there are challenges too in Second Life. I do not think that it is a game, rather, I feel that it is more of another virtual world.
Although it is possible to make money out of this game, I feel that there is still a degree of challenge.

I have heard about 2nd life, and that some mylot members are playing that game too.. As far as i heard and know from them, it's just like SIMs and that one do earn money, but whether it's real money or vitual money, i'm not too sure about that.. PLus, that game is not suitable for the young, and u will know once u start playing it ^_^ hehe

ive played it and it sucks!! i dont know about money since i never heard or saw any way of making money but the whole site is so boring.. its like a bad sims.. i like sims but this is horrible!!

i have made money in second life so yes im a bit slow at it but considering i never spent any money really its not bad i earn like 220$ for little over 1 month

Yes, you can make money in this game.
I've played it just to see how it is, not my type and I 've never played on.
A friend has a clothes shop there. He invested $ 300 in it and now earn about $ 300 per month.
You can do shopping store and business just like in real life.
Many big companies (Nike, Adidas, Nokia ...) already have made virtual offices in this world.
I saw on TV as a businessman has opened a offices and now a lot of money out of it (
it rents).

I made in $60.00 dollars in a year and the following month I made 60 again and last month I made 100 and am working on getting more money each month and their are people who make a lot of money in SL

Am a host at a club and a greeter for ski resort in second life. Currently am working at other clubs at second life plus the being a greeter so I can earn more Lindens. Basically if you got the time earn money by doing various jobs at once try getting higher paying jobs in game do surveys or camp. For example, lets say you got 3 jobs in world and each pays you 100l for every hour and they each want you to work 2hr shift which is the norm in SL to work at a place. that's bout 600 a day and that's not but lets say you repeat that activity for 6 days that's 3600 a week times that for a month and that's 108000Ls a month and that converts to 384.dollars a month. currently close to doing this method to help me earn more money per month. and some time I may own my own business in SL.

you can make money from this game. I dont know how to make clothes or anything so i really dont have a trade, but you can definately make money from this game. theres a guy who is actually a millionaire because of Second Life.
