Do you like to eat Banana cue and Kamote cue? When I'm in school one of my favorite snack is Banana cue and Kamote cue. But I always buy Banana cue more often than Kamote cue. A delicious saba banana deep fried and coated with caramelized brown sugar, this is Filipino comfort food at its best. It is very easy to cook a Banana or Kamote cue. Heat up a pan with vegetable oil enough to cover the bananas. Pour in some dark brown sugar to melt and fry the bananas, taking care not to overcrowd the pan. If you like, roll the semi-cooked bananas in more brown sugar and return to the fat to finish off. Serve hot to warm. Kamote cue is also cooked the same way. Which do you like to eat the most? Banana cue or Kamote cue? Thank you for sharing.. Have a nice day..

Kamote cue for health benefit! I read about how sweet potato becomes beneficial for those who are suffering from the high blood sugar, the medical blog that I've read says that kamote helps on burning the excess of our blood glucose. But don't over eat kamote before you plan to meet with your friends or else you'll fart with an awful smell hahahahahah.

Ooops. Is there any fart that smells better? Heheh. Camote cue causes flatulence, that's for sure. In fact, any crops/plants that bear edible roots/tubers underground cause flatulence.

Yes i agree with you miss Kofficup. Marami talagang health benefits ang pagkain ng kamote. But with regard sa sinabi mong "don't over eat kamote and you'll fart with an awful smell," i do not agree with you my friend. Kasi if you are clean in the inside, even if you utot and utot, walang kang maaamoy na "awful". If you BAWAS daily and regularly, walang masamang amoy na lalabas dyan. That's my personal experience. In the morning, before ako mag Banyo, at akoy umutot, may masamang amoy talaga. But after na makapag banyo na ako, kahit sa buong maghapon ako umutot, walang amoy yan. Peace my friend Kofficup.

KAMOTE CUE for me. Banana cue makes me weak. I dont know why. And Kamote Q is really more delicious especially if it is fried and served in strips like french fries (btw, kamote que is sweet potato). Sometimes the bananas are not yet ripe and mejo hinog sa pilit, thus, it tends to be hard and doesnt appeal to me. I really love Kamote cue more, hands down winner for me.

Well, i love to eat more Kamote Cue than Banana Cue.. Same as you when I'm still studying I usually buy this kind of food as my snack but the store always have Banana Cue than Kamote Cue.. They sell more banana cue than kamote cue.. So,if kamote cue is not available I go for Toron or other snack.. I don't like to eat banana cue always because for me banana cue is more sweeter than kamote cue and if I eat plenty of banana cue and toron I usually suffer from tonsillitis..

Hello warrior_777, I like them both as a dessert and snack. They are both delicious and healthy food, but because of the fats and sugar I tried to avoid eating a lot of it. I prefer to eat camote boiled. For banana, we have a lot of variety of food, you will be amazed how many kinds of food our canteen can make with banana on it. It's a bit harder to see food with camote on it. It seems camote is becoming rare now because of more banana grown. It might be just true on place and not on the entire country. Regards.

hmm, I prefer to eat banaba que than Kamote que. For me, banana is much more delicious than the kamote, really like to eat more of it. But what I really like the most in Filipino snacks is toron or banana wrapped in a lumpia wrappers and deep fried it. It was so delicious and one my favorite snack ever.

Ooh I really like both! I see banana cue all the time though so I can resist it. Kamote is healthier than banana so I'll choose it over banana cue for now. It's messier to eat though because the kamote breaks apart easily and scatters everywhere.

I liked eating them both. You wont go hungry if you eat them. They can be a healthy substitute for rice if the former is absent from the table.

I like the taste of Banana Cue more because it's sweeter! Although I know that kamote cue is more healthful. Also kamote cue are almost always made right - while some banana cues have tough base bananas and aren't good for snacks. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

when i was in high school, my favorite snack was banana cue and up til now, i still enjoy eating it. i rarely have the chance to eat kamote cue because most of the stores nearby sell banana cue. but i do like eating any of them.. they give me the same satisfaction.

Hi there warrior_777. Thanks for sharing this discussion, now Im craving for banana cue. anyway I do love banana cue than kamote cue, sorry I dont eat kamote or potatoes, or other root crop. I also love turon with langkan in it, and maruya. Yes its the best snack too when Im in school, and me and friends can share in one stick of banana cue. That time it has 3 bananas in one stick. Sometimes we made our own banana que at home, but we dont melt the brown sugar. we just put it on the top of the banana after it was fried because my mother will get angry if we melt the sugar because its not to easy to clean. Anyway Happy my lotting...........

Hello. Wow that is two of the most popular snack here in the Philippines. Banana cue I think is more common but I like kamote cue better. Both are tasty and sweet. These snacks ate healthy, filling and cheap… allows one to have a filling and delicious merienda for a small amount of money. Since you mention it, I just relized tht it’s been ages since I hve eaten a kamote cue..made me crave for it now.
