I believe i have this entreprenuership spirit although I am employed for the past 15 years, after i graduated from College. I already involved my self to some businesses, but since I am working, I cannot devout my full time to the business. But with God's grace, I am praying that coming 2009, I will be able to have that guts to go full time with our own business. How about you, do you have the courage to give up your employment for your own business? Do you have that spirit of being an entreprenuer and be your own boss?

If I had loads of money I would rather be an entrepreneur. I don't want to be an employee all my life. I want to have my own business with having no boss just me,myself and I..but as I said if I was rich why not but I still don't have any resources and I wasn't one of the lucky ones so I guess it is way far off to be had.

Although i have lots of great ideas for a business... i do not think i have that entreprenuership spirit... since i am not really a risk taker when it comes to money... and right now... i want to play it safe since i have a family to think of... but it would be nice to have my own business in the future... even if it is just a small sari sari store...

For the past two years I have being operating my own business. Sometimes I wish I was being employed by a company that can enable me to have more benefits than what I can afford myself but it is good to do your own business. I have to closed down the wholesale but presenting I am doing research and data entry for myself. Just started in September but to tell you the truth it has its ups and downs but being your own boss is good.

You're right that being your own boss has a host of advantages over being an employee, however, it has a host of disadvantages too. The pros are that you can dictate your own time, reap more of the benefits of your labor, and the only limit to excelling is how much you are willing to put into it. (That last bit has some other determinents, but theoretically, that's how it should work). The cons are that you succeed or fail with no safety net. The investment you put it could be lost if the business goes under. If you have employees depending on you, your business failure could also harm them. And sometimes you have to sacrifice personal comfort for the good of the business. People who think running their own business is in any way easier than being an employee are mistaken. It takes more man hours, more determination and discipline to run your own business. As such, the rewards are also greater. I run my own business. It's hard, very hard to make it day to day. Because I know how fickle my area is, I don't want the added burden of employees right now. Hopefully, if times change, that may change as well. The idea that someone's income is dependant on my having a "good" month, is a scary one and one I don't take lightly. But in the end, I think I will do more good with my business than as an employee in someone else's. Also, the pluses of dictating my own time and my terms far outweigh the advantages of being beholden to someone else's bottom line.
