Does anyone keep a journal?

I wish I had done a better job of keeping a journal while my kids were growing up. The older I get, the harder it is to keep my memories sorted out. I found a site online that wants only non-fiction stories about things that have happened in our lives. If you write it, and it reaches number one in one of 24 topics, it is worth $1,000. If you are interested let me know.

I have been keeping journals since grade 10 creative writing class. I have a large plastic storage container filled with my journals throughout the years. It's full so it's time to start another one. I don't write every day, but certainly do when I am upset or something great has happened. I also have journals for my children so I can write down the funny things they say, what happened at each birthday, Christmas and Halloween; and their achievements in sports and school. I also have a prayer journal and a gratitude journal but have to admit I don't write in them very often. Just when the mood strikes me. I find when I pray my mind wanders, but if I write down my prayers I am focused on my praying. I would be very interested in the website you mentioned, please and thanks.

I used to keep a journal when I was in primary to my college days but I have never ever been able to update it every time. When I stop doing it, my next entry would be a month apart from my last entry. lol. I'm interested in the site can you please tell me more about it?

I've tried writing journals over the past few years. Along toward the end of the 20th century I could see changes in weather patterns and thought of recording the weather, or at least making a monthly summary, but I'm not very disciplined and after three of four entries I quit. Then the journal, mostly on the computer would be lost if I had a computer crash. When my children were little I don't know where I would have found time to write. The days seem to have been too full of household duties and child rearing. I would like to know the site you're talking about. I'm sending you a friends request. Just record your memories the best you can now, so they aren't lost forever.

Yes, I have been keeping a journal for many years now! I just love keeping a regular journal and I just don't know what I would do without it. That's interesting regarding this site that you have found. I would be interested in knowing more. I receive great comfort from keeping my journal and I always keep it up to date. Someday, many years from now, I will be able to return to my journals and look back on what I got up to in my younger days. Good luck with your writing. Andrew

I used to keep a Journal all the time! I guess I don't need one as much anymore, now that I am out of the madness and melodrama and torment and trauma of Jr. High and High School! *LOL* I have tried keeping an online one, but it just seems so boring writing about myself because I am just an ordinary person, no one exciting! *LOL* I am definitely interested in this website, though. Please let me know about it, I would LOVE to earn $1,000! :)
