Do you ever watch movies at the mall?

Our mall has a Cineplex or movie theatre. I've never gone inside before, but it looks like it would be fun. Prices are what you would expect from a mall. Have you ever watched a movie in a mall theater before? How was the experience? Did you enjoy it?

Yes I have. We have an 18 screen theatre at our mall. But with money tight, we use Netflix more than anything else. The theatre was comfy. But my couch is better.

Here in Minnesota at the Mall of America their chairs are very high backed and are rockers with lots of leg room etc. Very comfy. Even more comfy than my couch. But I can't wear my PJs there. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That's the kind of chairs they have here at our mall... it's like sitting in a recliner.

yes, I have... Whenever I go out with my friends, we hang out at the mall after seeing a movie and have a good time watching boys (I'm kidding), laughing and talking... in that order. Happy MyLotting and have a nice day! Xp

I have at the Mall of Amewrica many times. They just rem, odeled the theatre there recently. They have a VIP theatre now. It has tables and concessions are brought to your table. Never have to go and buy your own now. Order them at your table. It's not too bad but I love drive ins which are hard to find nowdays due to high costs of renting the movies for those places. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That sounds like fun! I don't think they have that in our area.

We do have a cinema at the mall and, yes, I have been there a couple of times to see a movie. It's not really any different an experience than going to any other cinema. Prices are pretty much the same, meaning way too high

I've heard that a family of five can spend well over $100 at the movies in one night with tickets and popcorn and such. Way out of my budget, even with only three people.

Way out of my budget as well. That's why the girls usually go see movies at the "dollar" cinema. They may be a few weeks old but they are still new movies and it is so much cheaper than the other movie houses . Me, I tend to watch movies online, when I have the time. I can drink my own coffee so that's free LOL

Yeah, I prefer the online movies too. I don't have to get dressed up. And, it beats going out in the heat and cold.

I do sometimes. I don't know why, but I prefer the theatres that aren't in malls. I hadn't really thought about it until I read your post, but now that I think about it, I think that I actually do prefer the non-mall theatres.

I have watched movies at the mall several times. It seems like most of our theatres around here are located in malls. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit because the theatres in the malls seem to be more plush and comfortable. The seats were a little wider, the backs reclines, the rows were wider, and it was just overall more comfortable. I would definitely recommend an in mall theatre any day. I go when I can. While the pricing may be a little higher, it has been worth it with the added room and comfort. I have also found that I have not encountered screen problems or speaker problems in these theatres. Some of the older, less comfortable theatres I have been to have had these problems and it ruins the movie to encounter such problems.

The theater in our mall is just like any other theater. It's actually the only one that plays new movies that I know of, though. When I was pregnant, we went a lot. My son was born February 1, and we saw 6 movies in January. One of the guys who worked there always joked that I was going to go into labor while I was there. We haven't been to the movie theater here since my son was born. We've only gone to the theater once in the 2.5 years, and that was an Imax theater in Missouri, while my parents had our son. Elliott is getting where he sits still better, though, so maybe next year if there's a cute movie out that he wants to see we will try going to the theater. We'll be going to one of the cheaper theaters the first time, though!

All of the movie theatres in my area are located in malls... i do not know of one that is not... and it is quite difficult to compete with mall theatres since most people prefer to go there... i myself would always watch a movie in malls... since after that... there are still other places that i can go to...

Ofcourse! Only if my husband and I have money. Today it's very expensive than before. In our country it cost Php. 70 , but now its Php.120! Most of the time we buy pirated DVDs rather than watching movies in the mall. If we buy pirated DVD all the family members has the chance to watch and it's cheaper. Its fun inside watching in a theatre. It's dark and cold and quiet. It's also relaxing inside. I enjoy watching movies inside a movie theater with my husband. God Bless and Happy mylotting!

Our mall has a really great theater.. actually 19 of them, last I knew. The seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in at a theater. Of course I don't go there very often, the most recent was when I saw Hancock.

I always watch movies in the mall. We don't have cinemas outside the mall so we always need to go to the mall when we want to watch a movie on screen. It works out well this way because we can go shopping as well and eat at one of the many restaurants in the mall. Of course, it's not always great for our budget.:(
