So, a man gets ready to go quickly because he could really care less what he looks like. The woman, meanwhile, goes through a lot of effort. Well, this takes time. So they guy goes and finds something to do. By the time she's ready to go, he's halfway through something.. like posting on MyLot. Now, he says, "Give me a minute." The woman waits a little bit and then decides to go do something, perhaps put a new load of laundry in the washing machine. The man finishes up his posting and goes to check on his wife, "Ready to go." The woman calls up, "I just have to finish sorting the towels and I'll be right up." The man, being bored tries to find something to do, perhaps he goes over to the mail slot and looks through it. He finds a bill that's late. Groaning, he gets on the computer and starts paying a few bills that he's been putting off getting to. The woman, now done sorting the laundry, comes upstairs and sees her husband paying bills. She knows better than to bother him and decides to go to the restroom while she waits. However, while she's sitting there she notices that her legs are a little stubbly. She gets down the shaving cream.... Ever had something like that happen? Personally, I tend to get ready to go faster than my wife, but she's not that bad. However, there are times when I've been ready and waiting to go and my wife seems, for some reason, to believe she's been waiting on me. So, on occasion, I will get up and sit in the car just to verify, "Yes, Dear, I really, really, really, am ready to go." How about you?

I would hope that my hubby doesn't think I take forever. He takes longer in the shower than I do. These days I take longer getting dressed. Not so easy to do when pregnant. But I can see how this scenario can happen. Maybe a couple should just agree on a leave time and have everyone meet at the front door at the designated time.

That would be one way to handle it, a set leave-time. I'm not sure how well that would work in person as I can see one or the other in the pair complaining that their partner's being a drill sergeant with the clock.

Yes, a comedy routine.
