Do you take a packed lunch with you at work or buy fast food from a tuck shop? I prefer taking packed lunched with me since I can eat health food. What do you prefer?

I generally pack the food for my husband and my daughter. I think it is better than what we get from a tuck shop. Although my daughter sometimes eat out from the school cafetaria, but usually it is home made food for her and my husband's lunch pack.

I am not currently working but when I was I always took a packed lunch in because it was far more economical and I knew what I was eating too. It gets so expensive eating out or buying sandwiches from the little shops, especially in London! There was a canteen there at work but sadly it wasn't subsidized so you ended up paying expensive prices for food. I would go in there as a treat once a week or near payday but otherwise I would take my own packed lunch which you were allowed to eat in the canteen which was unusual I admit!

I used to buy food since a mall is across the street from my office. However I usually bought just fast food which is of course unhealthy. When my boyfriend and I moved in together, his schedule allows him to prepare apacked lunch for me. Yes, he's the one who cooks. So now every day I go to work with a lunch bag, feeling like a school girl. It's nice to be eating home-cooked meals again.

I prefer taking home cooked lunch to my office. My better half prepares meals for me in the morning and at lunch time it is re-heated. I do not like to take stuff from outside and donot relish it much. There is no susbstitute for home cooked food.

I am currently a stay at home mom. However i use to work at a corporate headquarters for a major hardware chain. We were fortunate to have a cafeteria in one of the 4 buildings. They offered 2-3 main entrees for lunch, along with a salad bar, soup, even some desserts. Hot entrees, or delis sandwiches, and it was also open for breakfast from like 630-9...many still brought a lunhc, but most times i myself, bought from the caf, as it was very reasonably priced and convenient.

When I worked I took my lunch everyday I couldn't afford the lunches you could buy prepared out of a machine or from a fast food place down the road. I also ate healthier when I packed my own lunch then I would have otherwise.

I've also started to bring a packed lunch. Not only that I get a much healthier lunch, but it also saves me lots of money, as fast food or other packed food are much to expensive considering their nutritional value (for example, a small bag of chips is more expensive than 1 kg of potatoes).

I only work a few days every week and when I do, I get free meals which are really nice and healthy. I give my husband a packed lunch as he claims that it would cost too much if he was to buy something to eat out. He usually takes salads or meat in sandwiches and a cereal bar for afters.

My husband and I agreed on packed lunch, we both are busy at work and with packed lunch, we can save a lot of money and time as well. . As a mommy and a wife, my priority is good food and saving money at the same time, that is why I make sure to always provide good food at home that can be brought at work too. :-)

I take my lunch. I know the food is prepared well, I avoid the fats and calories that fast food places sell me, and I can control the quality as well as my diet. It's also a LOT cheaper! These days, we need to save all the money we can and I figure I'm saving at least $20 a week this way.

I do neither actually! I am fortunate in that I live and work in the same building so when it is lunch time I head downstairs to eat it with my wife. If I was unabke to do this then I more than likely wouldn't eat lunch at all! I'm hopeless like that.

I worked at mcdonalds for a while and i was so sick of the smell that by the end of the first week i was taking my own food with me. IT was better for me and i welcomed the change in odours...it wasnt like i could just run home to get a meal either because it was almost an hour round trip to work and home.
