About this Universal Healthcare....hmmm

It sounds pretty especially if you are like me and do not currently have healthcare coverage. But I have some really grave concerns about this type of government run healthcare system that I can forsee some major problems.
1. My biggest concern is I do not want anyone deciding what is best for me. This goes against what freedom of choice is all about to begin with and the government already tells me what I have to do anyways by numerous laws that I live by.
2. Our taxes will increase once this goes into effect because then we Americans as a whole will be footing the bill for everyone, regardless of insurance coverage or not.
3. Jobs will be cut due to requirements laid upon the companies by the government (small business come to mind).
4. We will have no competitive healthcare systems meaning we are forced into one system that defines the type of care and/or services we receive. According to some of the search results I have read they state that it can be comapred to our Medicaid system. Now I do know that Medicaid does not cover many services that traditional health insurance covers.
So who is it that decides how this UHC program will be run? And what services will they provide or not provide? And how will it not affect our taxes if we are on a single payer system? And why are we criticizing the other side for saying they will tax healthcare when this UHC program will increase our income tax?
Let's just talk healthcare here please.

Just check out the countries in Europe that have universal health care. There are long lines to mediocre,at best, health care.It doesn't work.Health care providers need to make it less expensive to get insurance. This isn't going to happen until we get all of the illegal immigrants out of the country.
I had to go to emergency room about 2 weeks ago.I was running a fever of 104.I think I was the only one there that was actually sick. The rest had minor ailments that could have been treated at home.I'm sure I'm exagerating, but not by much.
Until this kind of thing stops, our health care will keep going downhill.Universal health care is not the solution.

0bamanation has always been a supporter of UHC. Even Hillary Clinton was a huge UHC supporter as well.
The problem with Americans getting on UHC is simple: Greed. We've got too many greedy people who abuse the public aid system now. People are being treated for illnesses that can be treated just fine at home with a Tylenol. But instead, they go to the ED, are admitted to the hospital and are costing we the tax payers multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars for a treatment.
When 0bamanation takes office I fully expect him to impliment the UHC he's been talking about. Our taxes will rise to a rate of nearly 50% to pay for this. So take what you're making now and divide that by 2. That's what you'll be bringing home after 0bamanation gets elected into office. If you bring home $800 a week now, you'll be bringing home $400 a week after 0bamanation gets his way. If he thinks the mortgage crisis is bad now, wait until his tax plan hike goes into effect. Both my husband and I work for a living full time. I know we can't live on one income or on half of what we have now. People are going to have to start letting their homes and cars go back to the banks because they simply won't have enough money to cover the payments thanks to the tax rate being 50% for crappy health care that is similar to what people in poor countries are used to. Mud huts with sub-standard care and expired medicine.

I just wish people would learn you do not use the method of fixing things until they are broken. Why can't they just see we just need to fix the systems we have now instead of adding new ones just to make matters more confusing and hard to understand...or maybe that is the reasoning behind it...and what is so different about that change?
I think everyone who voted or wanted to vote or should have voted should pay more attention to what is happening here instead of those damn stimulus checks that may or may not come in the mail before or after inaugeration.

Fixing the system is not chargins us outrageous taxes to pay for sub-standard medical care.
Take a look at Canada's NHC.
Take a look at England's NHC.
Both are sub-standard in their care with huge, long waiting lists to get life-saving surgeries. There isn't enough money to go around to handle the needs of the public. The money runs out as do the doctors.

I would have a major issue with anything run by this government. YEH Right, the people who brought us the VA, the postal system, FEMA, the NEA, the IRS, the Federal Reserve, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, the list goes on. Tell me something folks, with all the success the government has in running things, do you REALLY REALLY REALLY want them to run your health care system too? For REAL? If you think all the other government agencies I mentioned run just fine, then go ahead and push for a government health care system. If you trust the federal government to take care of your health care because they have such a stellar track record of running things, then go ahead, push for government health care.

Maybe we should ask the Katrina victims who are still waiting on funds from how long ago?
Good points...

Don't think for one second that the federal government will make health care any better. They may fund it by taxpayer dollars and you won't have a choice whether you want to "help" pay for it or not, its involuntary, its mandantory. Then they'll decide whether or not you need it, if you're older and dying of cancer somebody will decide if you deserve healthcare or not. It will be the haves and the have nots. People will be doing their own heatlhcare and you'll have people who desperately need it and can't get it. This is the worst thing in the world, Obama is a nut but he doesn't care, he'll deserve "healthcare" since he's the president. God help us all!
