they are wasting on all those campaign. I understand that they need people to get to know them, but then, spending millions on air time and everything about running a campaign, all these for me are all waste of money. If they want people to really know them, why didn't they do something before so that people would have known of them beforehand. Their work, being senators, if they've done something really good for the country, the networks would cover them. And that is for FREE. So doing things that are really for the people should have been done before the "election period". Well, what do I know, I am just an ordinary citizen.

The millions they spend on their campaign, I believe, are donations and something they got from fund raising campaigns. They need much exposure for them to have a chance in the coming elections. The money they spent would be loose change compared to the privileges and the power you get once elected. If they had nothing to gain, why then would they spend millions?

I've been saying for years that there has to be a way to make it so money isn't so important in election campaigns, especially Presidential campaigns but they're all expensive, once you get to the state or national level. For one thing, all of the TV networks, both broadcast and cable, could allow a few minutes for each candidate on a regular basis. Let them tell us what they've done, what they stand for, what they've done and what they want to do. If they want to make legitimate comparisons between themselves and their opponent, fine, but let's do away with the mudslinging entirely. Annie
