A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success”. How? Can u explain?

I believe this is true because in times of success we don't need that much praise or acclaimation since we already have it intrinsically having been successful. But in times of failures, mostly, there are just very few people who'll comfort and encourage us that is why a word of comfort is deeply felt and emphatic compared to an hour of praise after success.

Encouragement is priceless when one is feeling down. It helps someone get through his/her failure. Even one word, one phrase or anything to help someone is better than praising someone. Praising is good, it makes someone feel appreciated but too much of it could get into his/her head and make her a different individual. In my opinion, encouragement weighs more than praise.

Its true, when we get success there are many people around, and actually u don't need them , u urself know that u have succeeded and u are happy...but when u fail there are very few around to support u..to encourage u...and even a single word from anyone can make u feel relaxed and the energy to stand up again..

I don't know about anyone else but for me after suceeding at something i feel great and although it is nice for someone to ackowledge it i don't really need them to but if i have failed at something i am busy beating myself up and i need someone to make me relize that it isn't the end of the world or even life as i know it.

It doesn't matter how many words there are. A stich in time saves nigh. Here is what I know. The right word at the right time really makes things.

I think people need and appreciate more if you give them support when they are upset or in the failure mood. That's how I interpret this quote. When we are successful, mostly we are happy even without praise or compliments from the rest. Thus, it doesn't matter that much.
