Does modern technology really save us time ?

I know at first you've got to say of course it does, as we can do so much online, like resarch, shopping, banking and the list goes on and on.
But do we end up with more time or do we spend so much time using the technology, like texting freinds,playing games online,searching the net, emailing freinds. I guess I mean do we just spend the time we save ?

yes what you said is right and make sense ,many people may think modern technology true save our lots of time ,we do not need spent our valuable time in shopping and banking ,by interent ,we can do our work better .but almost everyone ignore these problems ,we also spent many time on cheating or games .but in whole ,i feel modren technology really save us time .

it's nice but i think it takes up more of my time than it should. i feel like i neglect some of my friends that don't have a computer. i'm going to do better about that.
