Do you? I have rediscovered who I am. There was a time when I turned to be what someone wanted me to be and when I saw my pictures, I was ugly and unhappy. Now, that I have all the freedom to be myself and discover more about myself, I am loving me.

Well congratulations on finding you! Life is so much less stressful and more meaningful if you learn to love yourself for who you are. Life can be very tiring trying to live to suit those around you. You will never met up to their standards and will soon tire trying. Congratulations again and have fun getting to know you!

Hi fasttalker! thank you very much for responding. Yes, I totally agree with you. I have lived that life and I will not go back again. If I fall in love with someone new I'd totally want him to respect me for who I am and love me just as I am.

its so nice to know that you have also learned to love yourself. i have realized that too and being nansheeca feels so overwhelming that whatever it is that has happened to me may also happen to somebody but my learnings may not be their learnings. being me is just being free. i can express my feelings in whatever way possible and it is only i who is accountable for it.

I admire that attitude greatly. I am still struggling with my self image and confidence, although I'm better at it now than I was ten years ago. And it is also great that you feel that way because that attitude will be reflected to your children. And in this day and age, kids need parents who encourage their self-esteem and provide a healthy example of it.
