I would suggest Kaspersky, it's easily the best i've used much better than Norton and McAfee.

You can use Kaspersky Antivirus or Avast or AVG Antivirus 8 to cure your PC! I will suggest you to use AVG Antivirus 8, its the best!

Do you have any usb flash drive/disk that you always connect to your pc? If yes, scan also the flash drive. Is your computer connected to a network? If yes, Scan all the computers that are connected to the network. To make sure that the virus will be erase. You can use also AVG free but update first before performing a system scan.

I suggest you use avira antivir personal edition virus.Update the virus definitions from the internet. Then run a full scan of your local drives. If the virus is found it will remove the virus. If the virus is holding system files,it will ask to restart the computer and start scanning the computer before the booting process begins.

dorothy get free AVG 8 as its so much better than Symmantec . symmantec let a virus in that took my son all day working from his compute linked to mine to clear itout of my machine. with AVG I havent had any trouble,it always finds any virus and deleted it at once, no p roblem it is the best and its free to boot. download it and dont worry anymore. you will be protected.with AVG you will be given three choices, delete the virus, clean it or quarantine it,best to delete or quarantine it in the vault. it protects your computer all the time.

hi dorothy09 I have found that free AVG8 anti virus is really better than Symantec by far, and doesnt cost a thing. download it for free and it will get rid of any virus you have. I have it and I love it as it finds any virus at once and either quarantines it or cleans it, or just deletes it, leaving your computer virus free. this avg reallydoes the job, and I wouldnt use anything else. plus it doesnt cost a cent. Download it and feel confident that your computer will be kept virus free.

I personally use superantispyware as a cleaner for viruses. I used it as a software support tech with a major computer company. I use AVG free as my antivirus. What version of windows are you using? Because I can give you more info if I know which you are using: XP, Vista or something else.
