I noticed that my mobile expenses rise when i shifted to postpaid... But if you are going to ask, which is better postpaid or prepaid? Why?

It all depends on personal useage of the phone. I have post paid & if I were to switch to pre-paid, I couldn't afford it. The way I use the phone, per minute cost comes out a lot cheaper for me to use post paid then the pre paid. My bill is consistantly $116 a month & I use somewhere between 3,000 - 5,000 minutes a month. It comes out to little shy of $0.04 a minute to little over $0.02 per minute. If I were to use 3,000 minutes with pre paid phone, it would be somewhere in abouts of $200 - $450 a month for me. I have blackberry & I do use a lot of messaging & emails as well as internet connection as well. part of that $116 is for the messagings & internet. Technically speaking, actual calling part of the bill only would've been about $95 a month. That means my average per minute for "talking" on my cell phone would've been actually less than penny a minute at times. Yeah, I am going to stay with postpaid.

I will definitely choose prepaid. I've been using prepaid since I got my first cellphone. Prepaid is much better if we don't want to worry for our cellphone monthly bill. With prepaid we can control our load expenses. Have a nice day..

Eversince, i have been a pre - paid user since I have my first cellphone. And i never intend to become a post paid user in the future too. I only use my phone when it is important and i never used it for pleasure. I think if you are a postpaid user, you can't control to use it and so after the end of the month, you will find out that you have a big bills and that you cannot pay it. happy posting!

I will always opt for prepaid wherever possible because there is far less chance of overcommitting yourself. At least with prepaid you always know where you stand with your mobile expenditure and you can be far more disciplined with your usage. There is nothing worse than receiving a large bill for calls that you did not expect!
