For those of you who have been following this case with me.. We are finally going to go to trial. I called the states attorney yesterday and the defense had asked for more time, well my states attorney told the judge i wanted to get a move on with this cause it has gone on for almost 7 months now and all they keep doing it asking for continuence after continuence so the judge said trial will start the begining of december. december 1st the judge, the states attorney and the defence attorney will meet and discuss when the trial will begin. I hope this man knows what he got himself into because he really destroyed a very important moment in my life as well as scard my son for life. I know ill probably get an ear full from the judge about our actions but he didnt ask to be harrassed for about 40 minutes by this man more less be bothered by him period. so i just wanted to update you all about what is going on now and let you know that i will up date you all as things progress some more. Thanks for caring :)

Jen, I doubt the judge is going to give either you or Joey any flack regarding your bahavior during this assault. Everyone can get pushed to the limit and Joey reached his, but this man had no right to randomly insult, yell and threaten anyone while driving on a public road...and ESPECIALLY my family! The fact that he's a law enforcement officer who chose to display a weapon at a family with children in the vehicle makes his actions even more heinous. His job is on the line...but he doesn't have a leg to stand on...and I look forward to celebrating his downfall with you guys after court. Love you guys!

Hey, I've had seven months to steam about this guy and I'm glad he's finally going to have his day in court. I can only imagine how many others he's treated so badly and was able to get away with it since he targets people he believes to be Cuban or Spanish and those are the least likely to report him...and to be believed against an *upstanding* law enforcement officer. If my family had been who he thought they were I have no doubt he'd still be doing it. Instead I'm sure he's still kicking himself in the butt!

I would love to hear more details on this. If you have a past discussion with details, can you post the link to it? I tried looking, but either I missed it or maybe that might be another discussion that you can start. I also hope that whatever happens in court, things get worked out to everyone's satisfaction. However, if the police officer in question did something majorly wrong, he will learn from his mistake, & stop making law enforcement personnel look bad.

So far, I got one eyeball pried off my screen, & back in my head. Just taking a break to reply before starting on the other one. Then I need to figure out how I'm going to do this. Do I reply to both of them? Or do I leave one long comment here? I also need to decide on that. As a matter of fact, I vaguely remember one of the first discussions dealt with a bad cop situation - back in 2006.
