I like to haggle in flea markets or public markets yes to get a cheaper price especially those goods with no price tags. You have to know how to haggle coz we don't know how much really is the suggested price and sometimes the vendors are adding 100% or more to the prices.
And it's also fun and after a while you become "suki" of the vendor.

Hey my friend...
I guess people just want the best quality at the lowest possible price. I mean a lot of people would love to get something cheaper than the original price right? I'm into haggling as well especially when I know I can get it a lot cheaper. There are a lot of sellers who overcharge and that's also another reason why we haggle.

Well, it's part of our culture as Filipinos (i.e., to always "economize" for every opportunity). We also haggle because we know the vendors/sellers are "naturally" selling at a price that allows profit. If one vendor allows a discounted price for his/her products, this will spread like fire. Other vendors will follow suit to attract customers. The buying customers will of course know the trend in the price, so they have a rough idea how much to haggle by comparing prices from one vendor to another. Others just haggle out of instinct (because as I said, it is engrained in our culture). Ilokanos are amongst the famous hagglers. Hehehe.
