It occurs to me that Halloween is just around the corner. You see displays in the stores and kids are all talking about their costumes, you know, "what are you going to be for Halloween?" The gods of money and finance are content in their treasure hoards, raking more of it in. Things have become so commercial for every single holiday or celebration. It makes me feel dirty and leaves a bad taste in my mouth (especially if I get the wrong kind of candy, blechh). What do you think about the commercialization of it all?

I don't mind the commercialization of holidays such as Halloween but I do take offense at the way Christmas is commercialized.. I do love Halloween and it is a great time of the year, it usually signals the start of the holidays.. I decorate with Halloween decorations, then some can be left out to blend in with the Thanksgiving decorations, then on to the Christmas decorations.. I really enjoy the holidays and I enjoy Halloween all in good fun.. Retailers will go to any lengths to make an extra dollar, no matter what the Holiday, they will even make up new ones if sales are down..
