I can't believe seventeen years have went by already! He's grown up way too fast. I still remember teaching him to walk and talk! I thank God every day for my son. He was premature (born at 26 weeks) and we almost lost him a few times. I'm so grateful that he's with us! He's a great kid and wonderful human being. I'm looking forward to what the rest of his life brings.

Time does fly when we are enjoying it as well as we do with our children.. Tell him Happy Birthday from all of the Mylot crew.. My son is 27 now and I still remember when he was just a baby.. I am thankful to God everyday for my son also, he was a gift, but again, all children are gifts from God and should be loved and cared for all of their lives.. Happy Birthday to him..

Thank you very much. You are correct, all children are gifts. It breaks my heart when I hear about a child being abused. I just don't see how anyone could do it!

Ah, 17, what a fun age, not legal but dangerous. I've got an 8 year old and its only a matter of time before he turns me grey. Congrats!

It is strange how they seem to grow so fast. Bother of my sons are a lot older now, one is 18 and graduating from high school soon and the other is 15 and a freshman in high school. It dosen't seem like that long ago that I was changing their diapers and feeding them. Now the one is driving and has his own car while the other has started dating this past fall. It just seems like it all has happened so fast, which has made me feel a lot older then I actually am.

Yep, know exactly what you mean. My husband and I have went to talking about our son's childhood alot lately...making us sound REALLY old...lol. Of course, our son doesn't even remember half of it! He will be 18 in 6 months!

Happy birthday to your son! Seventeen can be a difficult age but it doesn't sound like it is in his case. Yes, they do grow up very fast. That's great that he seems to be doing so well. Savor every minute.

Thank you. We have been very lucky, and we know it. I plan to savor everything. It's going to break my heart if he moves far away one of these days!

Wow, that is a wonderful miracle. Isn't it amazing what the doctors are capable of and what God will do for us in our greatest time of need! 26 weeks is just amazing. You recognize how fortunate you were and I'm sure have remembered it every October 15. Congradulations. Happy Birthday to him. Maybe he will grow up to be the doctor that can prevent prematurity!

That would be cool, but he's not into that at all. He want's to go into graphic design. I don't care what he does as long as he's happy and healthy.

Yes the years do go by so fast. My son will be 17 in September and I just don't know where the years went :( Before you know it, they'll be out of the house but always in our hearts. I will forever treasure many memories and I hope you have as many good memories of your son as I do of my son. Happy Birthday to your son! May he have many more birthdays!
