I would have to go with Windows XP just because it has the "prettier" GUI interface than Windows 2000. I was a huge Windows 98 fan, but when I switched to XP on the laptop, my mind was made up. XP rarely crashes on my system biggrin.gif Vista I would have to give it a try. Didn't install it yet. Heard a lot of hype about this new version but in the end, it looks like they only added a few "new" features like the docking system and the 3D flip feature (which I heard is buggy in itself). Forgot any versions? How about Windows ME? LMAO. Now if I had a choice between Windows ME and 98...it will be 98 all the way. Too many horror stories with ME.

I suppose I'm going to have to say windows xp home edition! I have never used Vista so I have no idea what it's like. I have heard the rumours that some people have been having quite a few problems with vista. All the same, I love xp and I have had no problems with it thus far. I will be very disappointed when Microsoft finally decide to stop supporting this operating system. I guess I will then be forced to invest in vista! Andrew

Windows XP for me.Vista is just good for looks. It consumes too much of RAM.Also Microsoft is extending XP support till 2014.So who cares about Vista.

for me xp is the best, it's good, and really reliable, and it's doesn't have any bugs, unlike other versions..

Even though I used Windows Vista at the current moment, I would rather prefer Windows XP, just because it is easier to work with. I have to admit, the Windows Vista layout is pretty cool, a lot of cool graphics and everything, but one thing I really hate is the notorious administrator windows that pop up whenever you want to run a program or anything, even if the current user that you are on is an administrator, it will still ask you for permission.

Until now, Windows XP is the best version of Windows, but if the staff at Microsoft continue to improve Vista and correct its flaws then I predict that Vista will be the best. But I think that this will take time, lots of time.
