I never use more than a single emoticon in a response..Rarely I use 2 codes. Today when I was posting a lengthy response, I had a chance to use 4 emoticons..But while submitting the response, it said that only 3 emoticons or mylot codes are allowed in a single response. Are you aware of this? Do you know that only 3 mylot emoticons can be used in a single response?

Hey there! before, I really don't know. But when I was typing a long response I used around 5 emoticons. When I submitted it an error occur and said that I am only allowed to use 3. I was force to delete the other emoticons.

I wouldn't know how to do an emoticon in the first place so it doesn't worry me how many you can or can't use and I wouldn't have known that only three can be used, but I can understand why, some people would abuse them and have tonnes of the things all over which doesn't look that appealing does it?

Hi friend,I knew this when we were allowed to use emoticons.I was excited to use initially and was using 3 for all my posts and now I use only one in every post. Some people dont even use one in their posts.Does posting emoticons affect our earnings in any way?Do you know? Thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

I don't think posting emoticons has an influence on our earnings..It is just a part of having fun..

Hi smilyn... Yup... I know that we are allowed to use just three emoticons. I was wondering why we were allowed to use only three. There are times when I need to put several icons to stress my point only to find out that I've exceeded the maximum allowable icons... Hmmmm.

I found that out the hard way and thought it was pretty silly unless they're trying to save bandwidth or something like that. More emoticons makes it more entertaining, and I wish they'd get some new ones.

Ya you are right. They do allow only 3 emotions. Thats too bad. I don't find any security reasons for their activity also. I will badly need to post more than 3 emotions when my discussion or response is more descriptive. I don't like to write the whole as a single paragraph. That will irritate the ones who read. So I will just split that and will post some emotions in between. Lol. In that case, I will find very difficult when its just 3 that I can post.

But I think it is good that mylot has this limitation. Because there could also be members who just post the emoticons unnecessarily..

You can find them near the column you use for typing the response..But the fact is that you can use this feature only after you cross your 200 posts..My best wishes to you to reach your 200 posts very soon..

Yes, I found that out the hard way. Sometimes, I feel the need to express 5 or more emotions in one post, and I can't! :( But, oh well. We are supposed to communicate with text, not emoticons, so I guess I've just learned to deal with it! :)
