Friend vs Boyfriend/Girlfriend

If your friend doesn't like your boyfriend/girlfriend, or the other way around, would you give either of them up? Luckily, I have never been in a situation like this. I personally think if you plan to spend the rest of your life with someone, and your friend is becoming a great issue, you should give up the friend. But in a situation where you're still in school and have your whole life ahead you shouldn't give up friends for a crush. Did you ever had to make a decision like this? How did you choose? And why?

Yeah I guess in situations like this you would have to choose since you may lose both if you would try to saved both. i guess if your friend is sincere they would understand you for that but of course you would expect them to be hurt because of these. Just hope that you chose the right decision for your self though.

I was in this situation years ago in college. I have been with my boyfriend for about 3 years already. I met a guy friend and we became close. My boyfriend couldn't understand it but he felt "heavy' whenever he saw this guy. The mere mention of his name irritated my boyfriend. My boyfriend felt that this guy liked me more than a friend. of course, I didn't have the guts to ask outright. LOL! 
My boyfriend had me choose at one point. It hurt me to reject friendship but I chose my boyfriend. I told the guy that my boyfriend wasn't comfortable with our closeness and all that.
