people are getting more ipods!!

ok, when i was young none of my classmates has ipods, that was about 10? years ago when i was eight.
we dont even know there are technologies called apple computers and ipods.
or MP3s, for that matter.
however, when i was in secondary school, alot of my friends has an ipod and it is considered a norm to have an ipod owned by at least a member of families around.
and now, when i am in a polytechnic, even more people i know has ipods, and some even give ipods to friends as a birthday present.
are people getting richer now, are ipods getting cheaper, or is it just fashion?

I don't have an ipod 
I think I can hear enough on the radio, although i have MD player which is sort of the same but a lot different, sounds silly but I do like my MD player but i don'rt use it a lot these days..

Woah! you got an MD?!? That was like one of the coolest machine ever to be made after the CD player!
I wanted to get one of those when it was first launched. Which brand was yours?
I saw the sony ones and fell in love with them. But being a school going boy then, it was way outta my savings or budget to get one.
And I was constantly chased out of the shop by the sale person for drooling all over the showcase each time I go there to admire them.

Mine is a blue sony, and i also bought a tiny microphone for it so I could record the gigs of the bands i help..its really great...

I have an IPOD and it's awesome. =]
Some Ipod's are getting cheaper but not really, each Ipod is atleast $155.

During my time, when I'm in secondary school only I know about the walkman and discman technology. But I never have one, only looking at friends who're using it.When I'm heard about iPod within several past years I'm also dont have any intention to purchase one.
But maybe lady luck is smiling to me because last 3 months, I attend a seminar and it have a lucky draw session. When it comes to the 2nd grand prize, I heard my name has been calling. The prize? iPod Nano 4GB...; )That's the first time I put my hand on iPod. Now everyday I will download movie and songs then upload it into my iPod.
