I feel that answering a discussion is better because you are more inclined to and you can answer with even less amount of words with short content in it.Where as posting a discussion must be more brief and at the same time you must have more relevancy to the content and it must have great quality and appropriate usage of words.Share a view on this with me.

I like both although I must admit, I'm having difficult thinking about new discussions to create! So, I tend to post a lot and respond to others discussions. I don't think that it really matters about how many words that you come up with, I guess just as long as your response is longer than four lines, this is all that is required. I'm trying to think hard about what my next discussion is going to be! I just don't know! Happy writing! Andrew

Wow, I didn't know that you get paid for all responses to your Discussion. That affects my answer now, because I WAS going to say that I prefer responding to discussions that have already been created. I think that people here come up with all kinds of interesting Discussions. :) But, if you get paid for every response to a discussion that YOU create, well, then, I need to start doing some of that! *LOL* :-)

I personally feel that starting a discussion is better for me financially as I get paid for responses to that discussion. The people that respond to my topic the more money I make but responding to a discussion is only going to make me money once. I do find it easier to post a response than to start one but I don't the most that way. I have to stay on Mylot a whole lot longer than if I start a discussion. As for quality or relevancy, well it matters to both. The better your response the more you can make and the better the topic for a discussion the more likely you are to get more responses.

As you can see from my number I have taken part in more than 3500 discussions at myLot. I usually only start one new discussion in a week, or even less. I prefer taking part in discussions and giving my opinions. Other people do better by starting new discussions, if they are posting good interesting topics that people want to discuss. I think a mixture of both is probably the best way to use myLot. Short responses do not add anything to a discussion. MyLot wants us to give a descriptive response, which means not just giving an opinion or a brief answer, but explaining why you agree or disagree, or by writing about your own experiences. Success at myLot is not about the number of post you make, it is quality that counts. Adding a few good responses each day can earn more money than many short posts.

Answering to a discussion will be better for me. As I could share my thoughts and idea regarding that particular topic with a another person. In this way I could improve my language skills too.
