There's been a few times that I've picked things up that ppl have dropped and given them back to them...once was a $100 bill that an old man dropped at a gas station. Usually the only things that I pick up and keep are lucky pennies. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

Find a penny, pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck. Find a penny, pass it on, you'll have good luck all year long.

It is something I read in a book when I was in fifth or sixth grade, twoey. I can't remember the name of the book, but those two lines have stuck with me all those years.*L*

there was one time when my mom and i found two PhP100 bills on the ground. we looked around and there was no one nearby. we were on our way to church then, so we just gave the money to the church.

Of course I pick up money or other valuables from the ground. I mean, it's lost for the one that dropped it, why not make it a gain for me?

Good good good ! That's what i also say. I believe that we should not deny what it's offered to us in this matter as it may not come as easy the next time.

yeah, that's really something that your friend raises - good thinking for him to buy something that way he knows that he owns something bought with found cash :)

Good thinking ! I know that a penny isn't much, but if you combine a few pennies than there is something you can buy with them P.S.: By the way - i just found 5 US Cents today - it's a pity that i can't use them in Romania but at least the 20EURO cents i found last week can be used next year when i visit Greece again :D

Hi Elitess, I think anyone would, I put all coins into a jar that I count up nearer to Christmas and sometimes it can really mount up. The largest sum I have found was a £5 note but that was outside a charity shop so I went and put into their box but coins yes I will keep. Ellie :D

Good idea about the Christmas Jar - i think i will do it too... starting tomorrow. At the end of the year i will share with you how much i earned (of course, translated into US dollars). That was a nice gesture you did concerning the charity shop. P.S.: Don't forget to check the private message i sent you :D

I usually like to pick up up change that I find on the street. Even if it's a penny. Pennies do add up. If it's anything small and is worth anything, then I'll pick up it. Since I don't drive.. I usually don't take anything bigger than my purse.

yep, i must admit i do.. hehe.. and if there's no unique marks or labels, or any way to find the owner, i keep it. and unless somebody comes up to me and claims the item, its already mine. but if somebody actually tries to claim the item, they'll just have to prove their ownership and i'll gladly hand it over to the owner.

I do find some valuables on the ground and I do pick them up most of the time as long as they are that: valuable. At least to me. I usually find some coins too and sometimes a few bills as well. If its just a small amount of coin, I keep it. If its a huge bill. Id look all around, wait some minutes to see if someone will come back for it, then after that I keep it. I also for some reason found a sim card. Thought of picking it up but it was in the middle of traffic and I was in a hurry at that time. So I just let it go and hoped that whoever lost it, lost it on purpose.

I don't because somebody who needs it more might see it. I do not want to take something that is not mine.

I pick up money if I see it. One time I found wet money. It had rained and the bill was lying the wet grass. Picked it up, dried it, and spent it! I don't recall ever finding anything valuable on the ground.
