I'm just wondering, why dogs love to scrashing their bed/sofa, before they lay on it, or sleep on it...the action sort of like digging ^_^ i enjoy watching my dog doing that scrashing stuff, it's kind cute, and something with little cute sound from her, seems like she is impatient ^_^ Did your dog like to 'dig dig' too?

Whow, I do hate it if my dog will dig into the sofa so that for sure I do put her in her place in which she have her own room for taking care of my things as well especially in the living room but if she will be outside of the house she will be free to dig in all of the places......

haha.. My ex gf's dog always like to sit on their neighbour's doormat, whenever he's brought out for a walk.. hehe ^_^ ANd when my ex, buys a similar doormat for him, he will refuse to sit or even walk on it.. Instead, he will pee on it.. lol =D initially we thought he used wanna mark it as his belonging, but we were wrong, he still prefer their neighbour's doormat.. lol =D SO no choice, we can only put our doormat somewhere, and few days later, he was sleeping on it.. lol =D But same like your dog, he will dig and dig for a while b4 the sleep on it.. haha

I think it comes from when they were out in the wild, they had to make an impression in the Earth before they sat down. Take care

She's just fixing her bed, making it more comfortable to lay in, kinda like when you fluff up your pillow, she's doing the same thing, she's trying to make it the way she likes it. Yeah, my dog does that too, well my dogs stay outside, but I have a jack russell that we used to let come in all the time, when he was younger, if we gave him a treat, he would jump up on the couch and try to hide it. It was cute, he would scratch at it, and he would stick the treat down the side of the couch and he would use his nose to cover it up, it was like he was covering it with dirt or something...lol.

If your Dog is like mine, she wants her bed just right before she lies on it. I think female dogs are more like that. They seem to need a nest. Nothing we seem to be able to do is good enough so just enjoy her.

Maybe it's like us humans, and straightening out his bed and getting all the dirt of.
