I know this subject is stale, but are the gas prices where you are

getting back to normal? Well I guess normal is not the correct word, but are the steadily going down. I live in New Jersey and bought gas for $2.95 yesterday, within a half mile, I saw a gas station with $2.69. I was angry with myself, had I waited a little while, I could have saved .26. What is the best price you have seen in your area?

Yes, they are going down, but I haven't seen anything under $3. I have a gas card and I get 5cents off a gallon when paying with the gascard. I think that I am charged $3.59 and that is with the savings. I would be thrilled to see it go back under $3!

I guess it depends on where you are living, I live in New Jersey, and the prices are really declining.

Since I traveled yesterday from PA to Virginia, I saw a good drop everywhere. In PA the cheapest I saw it was 2.85, I paid 2.99, in Virginia I paid 2.89 and I saw it yesterday evening at one place for 2.73. Which is cheaper than this past Feb when I made this same trip, cheapest I paid then was 3.09. And yet all of these drops in gas prices and hurrican Ike took out so many oil rigs? Hmmm? So all of a sudden the gas companies can drop their prices for us consumers, and just a month ago you couldn't find an open gas station in Georgia?

Yep, I do that AL the time. I am down to 1/4 of a tank. I know that will get me through the weekend plus probably 2 days of work next week. So, I am holding out. Yesterday we went to Petsmart and passed by a corned that has 4 gas stations. They were all 3.13/regular. We passed buy about 15 minutes later and one of the stations had dropped their price to 3.03! Today I saw a station at 2.99/gallon. I know there are stations not far from here that last week has gas for 2.85 (they were getting it whole sale 2.45-2.65/gallon)

It's down to $2.75 here so I filled up yesterday...and it really does make a difference. I am going out of town this weekend so that's a very good thing!

The cheapest I have seen was 2 days ago. It was $2.72 cents a gallon. Gas has gone down about $1 here in the last few weeks. It can keep on falling though. I would not mind a bit.

That depends what you consider normal. They have gone down. So I guess they are more managable. Which is better than going in the upward direction.

Don't you get it????????????? Its under three weeks to the election! I've seen the gas prices dropping like leaves falling in Autumn in my state since the second Presidential debate - and just yesterday, in one particular gas station, the price dropped from morning to evening by 5 cents. It will fall further until election day. But just you wait until the elections are over - and then you'd be wondering if it were just a beautiful dream that you experienced !!!!!!!
