What does it has to offer? What makes it different from other antivirus? How long have you been using that for security? Have you tried using other anitivirus before aside the antivirus your are currently using now.

I change my antivirus software frequently. One of the top ones that i've used recently is AVG 8. Its free and offers decent protection, with frequent updates. And it also draws less system resources compared to good-for-nothing softwares like norton. My best scorer is bitdefender 200 total security. It dont allow in even one virus. its totally awesome-with heavy features. The drawback's that it eats up so much RAM. Its perfect if you have around 1.5 gb Ram. I am currently using eset smartsecurity 3.0.652. Its the best. It offers good protection, though not good as bitdefender. But its really soft on system resurces. It will work fine even in a 512 mb RAM system. Also, it scans really fast, takes about 30 minutes to scan my complete pc. So I recommend either eset smartsecurity or Bitdefender 2009. Don't go for aVG as it is outdated now.

As long you uninstall your current anti virus and restart your computer, then you can install your new anti virus. It wont have a problem as long it have done a proper installation.

unfortunatly, Norton. I bought this laptop on ebay. (great deal, $186.00) It already had it on it. I thought when it time to renew my trend micro, I'll delete the Norton. Well, two problems came up. one, I have windows 2000 professional and with trend micro 2007, you need XP. 2nd, when I tryed to delete the Norton, I couldn't do it. It told me to insert the disk to delete it and disk did not come with the laptop. I found one on ebay for 8 dollars but i'm without a job right now and can't afford anything extra. I have the disk. When I find permament employment I want to try PC shield.

It's ok as long as you keep your antivirus updated. Why stick to windows 2000?

I use AVG. Some say it is not good enough but I have been using it for a while now and I am satisfied with it. There are others just as good or even better. Cheers!!

I have McAfee in my computer. When I started to have this anti-virus, I never encounter any problem. I feel like my computer is very secure. I have this anti-virus because it is offer as free to us because we are a comcast subscribers. It means, Comcast which is an internet, cable and phone network trust McAfee that much! That was why we have it also.

I use Avast Antivirus on my Windows Vista PC. It's a free, open source antivirus software that does the job. It scanned my whole computer, and did a really good job. it prevented at least 15 dangerous downloads from happening. I love it! You can search for it, and it will give you information on it. They also have a version for Mac OS X. I have Tiger on my main laptop (the one with Avast is on my daughters), but I haven't downloaded Avast onto my Mac yet.

I still use Norton. I tried AVG but it didn't do anything for me. I have not tried anything else yet. Norton isn't perfect, but I think that it does what it is supposed to do.
