Up to now, I'm still confused when talking about the Bible. Some say, God is the real author of the Bible. Others say it is the disciples. I really don't know who? I just believe in the teaching of my religion that God is the real author of the Bible. Do you have any idea who is the real author of the Bible? I want to know.

The bible is a compilation of books by different authors. God is not the author of the bible. People who believe in Him are the authors. The bible is like their testimony about the existence of God. These testimonies are compiled into a book according to chronology. God as a spiritual being could not write, his followers are the true authors of the bible.

That's right argie... God indeed used people or his disciples to write the accounts of His existence. May I also point that the Bible is a historical document for it keeps record of the events that took place long before we were born. And just like any other historical document, it was written by people who had knowledge about the events based again on what God or the Holy Spirit inspired them to write.

God is the Author of His own word. He just uses all His disciples and all His people to do as what He commands them to do. It is a compilation of many books guided by the One True God all along.

God is!!! He used his disciples to inspire his words.. God is the original creator and author of the Bible.. The Holy Spirit breathed the inspiration into the disciples so that they could have translated, what God wanted them to say..

The Bible is known among Christians as God's Word, because it is His message to man albeit being written by human hands. He needed to to have His profound spiritual truths WRITTEN down in HUMAN language by holy & faithful people, so that it could reach and be understood by different peoples in various locations and throughout history/time. As someone else had mentioned, the people God chose to write the different books/letters in the Bible were God-inspired. They didn't just decide one day to do so of their own volition. (Refer to the 2nd letter of Paul to Timothy chapter 3 verse 16, and in 2nd Peter chapter 1 verse 21.) The 4 gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) were records of the time Jesus lived, written by His disciples, offering different perspectives at times of the same event. As well, each one offers a different portrayal of Jesus as perceived by these 4 authors. Matthew started with Jesus' earthly ancestry & ended with His last command, Mark's focus was Jesus' ministry as God's Son on earth, Luke's letter was an introduction of Christ to a government official, and John introduced Jesus as the Word (who was existent from the earth's beginning) made flesh/Man. So, despite having been "authored" by different men, the Bible hasn't changed throughout time, and its message is consistent from Genesis to Revelation. Each book points to Jesus Christ, the Messiah/Savior.

Ultimately, above the human authors, the Bible was written by God 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that the Bible was "breathed out" by God. God superintended the human authors of the Bible so that while using their own writing styles and personalities, they still recorded exactly what God wanted to be said. The Bible was not dictated from God, but it was perfectly guided and entirely inspired by Him. The Bible was written by approximately 40 men of diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years. Isaiah was a prophet, Ezra was a priest, Matthew was a tax-collector, John was a fisherman, Paul was a tentmaker, Moses was a shepherd. Despite being penned by different authors over 15 centuries, the Bible does not (DOES NOT) contradict itself and does not contain any ERRORS. The authors all present different perspectives, but they all proclaim the same ne true God, and the same one way of salvation - JESUS CHRIST (John 14:6). Bible was writen by many people. Not a single man wrote it. God's people,Prophets and disciples wrote. They wrote with the help of Holy Spirit. So,Bible can be read with the help of Holy Spirit.

The bible was written by many people. Whatever the real truth about its authorship is I think is less relevant than the message one can get from the bible. Sometimes the bible is misunderstood and mistrusted, and when it happens, it is good to find another one in that case.
