Question about LEPROSY!!!!

can Leprosy be inherent by your baby??? I mean what if a man or a woman who were infected with Leprosy is going to have a baby, would the baby get the Leprosy Disease from the parents???.... I really want some answers for me to finish my school Term Paper... tanx in advance to those who are concern...hehehe (^_^)

Leprosy is caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium leprae. It cannot be inherited. It is not a highly-infectious, so the risk of a baby catching it from the parents is pretty low.
