What reading materials do you choose to read and why?

A lot of people enjoy reading because it broadens their knowledge and vocabulary skills. Reading is a good hobby co'z as we read we use imagination which enhances our creativity and learning skills. There are a lot of reading materials to choose from. You can choose book/pocketbooks, magazines, newspaper, pamphlet, net and others. So always take time to read whenever there are opportunity because we could really learn a lot from it. Now, who among of you here are voracious reader? What is you favorite reading materials and why do you choose that material?

You've chosen a discussion on one of my favourite pastimes! Reading! I just love reading and I agree with you that reading increases your imagination and creative skills. My vocabulary is definitely getting better as well! I am definitely a voracious reader! I digest books like food! I love reading horror novels and my favourite author is Stephen King. I have read most of his books but he is coming out with so many new books now that it's hard for me to keep up! I'm not that keen on reading newspapers infact, I find them boring! As I love reading so much I have noticed that this has made me want to experiment with writing! I think that when you are a regular reader your communication skills improve, as well as your writing skills. So, I'm trying to get that little bit creative with my writing. I think that My Lot is a terrific place for this. You are writing all the time with My Lot and obviously there's lots to be learnt here as well. Good luck with your own reading and writing. Andrew

Hello Andrew! Yes I agree with all what you've said. Personally I'm also fond of reading,specially when I was a student. Still remember those days, I enjoyed being in a library just to read magazines and books there. But just like you I hate reading newspaper I also found them boring. Now I borrowed books from my friends and I read them whenever I have time. Thank you for your response. Happy mylotting.

I don't read as much as I used to because my eyes are weak and I have to wear reading glasses, and I am not comfortable with them or used to them. So my reading now is limited to the newspaper and reading booklets for instructions. And important papers. As for reading magazines or novels not at this time. I use to read a lot when my eyes were stronger. Books, novels, magazines, comics etc.

Hello Chevee, I understand how you feel. Just like you I have poor eyesight that's why I also use eyeglasses most of the time. It's been so difficult if you have this kind of weakness. You know before when my eyesight was not that weak yet, I used to finished books that I read, specially educational books or story book during my school days. Any way happy mylotting. I love to read just about anything. Usually I will buy some magazine every month and in between if I find those low price magazine on sale I would buy them also. Everyday I read newspaper and sometimes if there's a good book released I'd buy it to read.
