When Do you start your Christmas holiday Shopping? Do you make a plan before you start or just do it compulsivly? I have already started...I start as soon as possible, being on low income, I buy gift through-out the year and some go for Christmas and others for birthdays. Most of what I buy are usually on sale or discounted which saves me money in the long run.

I am seeing a big common thing the "low income" factor. and man it hurts everyone. It sure makes us plan things more. Thanks for the post.

I usualy make a list first of everybody I want to shop for and next to their name I put something that I would want to get for them. I usualy start on the list around september and try to have it out of the way around the beginning of december. I usualy still have a few little things to et here and there but at least I save money not buying everything at one time and can stay away from the stores once the mad rush of people rears it's ugly head.

The mad rush at the end is the worst, and I try to avoid it at all cost. To many upset and choatic people.

I have already started preparing gifts for Christmas. I have been wrapping gifts for my grandchildren and also planning to make different kinds of breads for them. I got a bread machine and have ideas for different kinds.I have 5 grandchildren and have to get an early start because we have many family members. I would like to make stockings and fill them for each child. I am hoping to do that. I would likee to get some velevet material to make them with.

Sound nice...homemade and home baked items always make a good gift. Shows the person(s) you truly care!

I will be starting mine the first of the month...I try to do a little each month so it doesn't cut us short with our money. I don't have alot of ppl to buy for so it's not too bad. Other than that it is just buying special stuff for the holiday dinners.

I usually start right after christmas with the sales buying things like mugs etc that are marked down. I also just put in a large order to LTD....I got some really cool things very reasonably. This weekend I am going to visit a friend and we usually do some too. I have to ship alot of mine so have to do it early.

I just started my Christmas shopping last week. I found some really great deals online. I got a few personalized Christmas ornaments from Personalization Mall for $4.49. Amazon had a sale where some of their Hasbro games were up to 60% off and then I found a good sale on eToys, so I bought a few items.
I am also on a budget, so I try to buy durning the best sales. I have been saving money throughout the year, but waiting for good sales to start buying.
I don't have a list for my daughter (who is 4 1/2) I will probably just buy stuff as I find it on sale. For other family members, I do have a set list that I intend to follow.
