If you found my phone would you look through it?

Think about it: If you found someone's phone or diary, would you look through it while also trying to find the owner? Or would you look through it and then pretend you never saw it? Would you answer the phone if it rang. I would probably look at the contacts and ring tones, but that would probably be it. I'm not usually a nosy person.

i did find a phone at the railway station last week. there was no one there to ask and the phone looked like it had blood on it. so, yes i looked to see if i could find a family name, mum or dad. i did and called. i did not trawl thru the phone looking at stuff. that would be an invasion of privacy.

If i found a phone or diary i would only look through it to find enough information to get it back to the person; easily done on a cell phone but not too much with a diary. I can just imagine someone going through my phone searching through everything and that alone is enought to discourage me from doing it to someone else.

If I found a phone or diary, I certainly wouldn't look through them. To find the owner of the phone I would have to browse through the numbers or maybe phone one of them but I wouldn't be interested in ring tones or anything else on the phone. If I were to find a dairy, then I would look inside the front cover to fine the owner as that is where addresses of the owner are usually kept but I would never read anybody's personal data.

Depends on whose phone it is. But seriously, in reality I'd be too worried about getting caught snooping to do more than try and find the owner's identity.

A diary I will look for a name or address. In a cell, what we have done is go through contacts to help the owner find it, and if it rang we answered it so we can help the owner find it. We have found a cell and because we do not have a car, we made arregaments for that person to pick up the cell.
