Oh I have tried it. My hair belongs to the category of unrulay/untamed one. I have to relax it for it to be manageable. Nowadays you can have it relaxed in a cheaper amount just look for those best option (but remember its your hair you need not be frugal about it). :D

Your reply made me realize that i should not take the risk of trying it on my own, its hair and what will happen will be something that I would regret in the end.

if I relaxed my hair anymore it'd fall out! no, I have a very slight wave in my hair, but nothing to be worried about. when the style was for long straight hair, I just didn't have it, and my hair isn't up to being ironed (the only option back then) I did have a tight perm put in twice, but that was for a costume - it was cute, and really made me look more like "The Doctor."

I have curly hair but never had it relaxed. If I did I would go to a professional to get it done. My hair is very fragile so I try not to do too much too it. It damages so easily.

Thats what others told me about relaxing, maybe I will have to consult a professional coz if I take the risk of doing it on my own, it might damage my hair.

I tried it once... but the result is not the same as the one we get from parlors... since it is vital to use the steamer when we relax our hair... so if that is not present... it won't look as nice... but i agree that it is quite expensive... so i don't really go though that process anymore...

No, I never did try it I think it is for women only and that is my wild guess and to my wife she did it once and just take good care of it by herself after and most of the time she only make and go tot he Saloon in the Philippines for it is cheaper and she said she can trust the worker...

My mom do it personally. She's pretty good. If you know how, then do it yourself, otherwise consult a professional if there are other things you're concerned about like damages that might result from doing your own hair, stuff like that.

Yes, its also scary, i bought milk hair spa than buying hair relax coz its more risky and I would rather use the milk hot oil. Its more safer.

People go to salons all the time and have it done I'm sure it is quite costly though. I do see in stores such as wal-mart they have hair relaxing kits you can buy. I have never bought one. I am tempted to because I look so much better with straight hair but I dont want to have to buy this stuff all the time to straighten the hair as it grows out quickly. I dont like putting any more chemicals on or into my body then I have to so I probably will never straighten my hair with anything other then a flat iron.

Why do you try to make your hair relax? Let it be itself, which is good for your hair and health. Hair is also important to our health, my friend.

ahmm..i dont think its a good idea you might end up messing up your hair with those chemicals used on relaxing but you can maybe try putting special cream on your hair overnight.
